V	Vivien Yang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is prob the Worst city hall and staff ever. Lol you never get the same answer from two people. Seems like everyone is in training even though they were already there for years. It’s Sad. Electrical inspector showed up twice at my rental house without informing me. Good that my tenant was nice. After I booked my second inspection, and tried to confirm it a week later, a different staff said no I wasn’t booked for inspection, my contractor had to do it.... I just feel so sorry for my tenants. It’s weird how unorganized and inconsistent the information they give out to the public. Can’t wait to sell my place and get out asap.

I need to pay late payment penalty now.. this is really bad service from city hall
M	Mr. Hayat on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called for some inquiries and the Clerk in the water supply department was very helpful. She took her time to listen to me and helped me out. Then I called again for help with locating the emergency water shutting valve and she was more than happy to help again. What's even more pleasant is that the amazing City Worker showed up within 10 minutes of my phone call. He was very knowledgeable and hardworking man. He I'm 110% happy with the services I have received today.

Every city that we have worked in, from Vancouver to Richmond all the way to Chilliwack, take planning questions instantly or within a few hours. Its time you guys catch up, raise your standards. Time to hire more people Maple Ridge city hall.

I visited Maple Ridge to submit a permit. The staff was helpful and organized in getting people through in a safe manner. The plan checkers and front office clerks in the building department were also very pleasant and provided me the best permit experience I've had to date. Thanks everyone.
P	P Titmus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watch out bylaw officers looking for any reason to ticket. Don’t park 2.9 meters from a driveway entrance! Regulation is 3m. Maple ridge is a slow town. Not many good coffee shops, so they have lots of time to waste. In response. Drive around and see how many people park with in 1 or 2 meters from an Entrance. Why arnt the curbs painted? The city has painted most curbs in the dt area.
J	Joy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking to add 6 months plus thousands of unnecessary dollars to the process of creating a suite, then yes, get permits and work with the city. What an absolute joke. People are trying to create affordable housing and afford their mortgage with income from a suite, and the city is completely working against this in that respect. No wonder 95% of suites are unauthorized. The city was incredibly disorganized through the whole process. Emails to the building department and inspectors consistently would go unanswered. People can’t afford this nightmare of a process. I understand that they are understaffed, but peoples livelihoods are at stake. It shouldn’t take MONTHS to fill roles. Absolutely absurd.
