★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is a joke!!! The produce is overpriced and of horrible quality. The store shelves are dirty. I drive to Vernon because what is spend on gas is WAY less than what I save on groceries. It infuriates me that people who are not able to drive to Vernon are forced to pay astronomical prices! ie. disabled, low income etc..I understand that the cost of gas and transportation is more to Lumby but really it is only 20 min further than Vernon. The prices are high because there is NO competition! It really is truly disgusting!!!!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was ok. The general ambience of the store reminds one of a small town where everyone knows your name. And, they know what's for dinner. The food is fresh, even if a tad expensive compared to the nearby metropolis of Vernon. But, there are amazing deals to be had that can, at times be cheaper than what's available in the big city. The store is clean, and the workers are knowledgeable about the products they carry. I give a 3 out of 5 mainly because of the prices. Overall I have had a very positive shopping experience here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a bag of apples there the other day that we're not from this past season. They were from the season before. They looked like those wrinkly Grandma face apples that we used to carve and dry. I find everything overpriced by about 60% compared to Vernon. About 5% of the staff will have a cordial conversation with me only because I've known them for years. It is the most expensive place I've ever shopped. It's nothing short of opportunistic. Would love to see some competition but the town isn't big enough to justify it. The sad part is many seniors without transportation have no choice but to shop here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced which is unfortunate for the locals who cant get to Vernon for reasonably priced items. They are stuck having to pay double then they would at wallmart for a lot of their groceries.
