★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New dentist dr. Sidhu at sunny shores is the worst i have been going to sunny shores for a while with family always had a great experience but not today dr. Sidhu was super rude and she was blaming me for me for not seeing my family doctor for my kids dental problems she seemed very new to canada with very little English but very high attitude ? ? wouldn't recommend her please see someone else

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to Sunny Shores Dental since I moved to Kamloops in 2006, long before the office was known as Sunny Shores. Dr. Foo was the only dentist on staff at that time, and he was absolutely fantastic. I had several dental emergencies needing immediate attention, and Dr. Foo always took care of me. He was always gentle and had great "chairside manner". I have also had the pleasure of being helped by Dr. Vitaratos and, more recently, Dr. Kian, and I was very happy with their work as well. I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Kian yesterday, and I woke this morning with no pain or swelling at all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inquired about dental today to be told my emergency coverage (which is 100% covered) would only be covered 50-60%, and I'd have to pay the rest out of pocket. I currently have government coverage, but have a large sum of money coming soon, (14 yrs backpay from the government) which I intend to use part of to have the rest of my dental work done. I need a couple root canals, cavity fills, crowns; and some other things that are NOT covered by emergency dental.
If a dentist can't offer the proper 100% emergency coverage, because they charge higher fees than other offices, or whatever their reason may be, then they're not the office I'll be spending the thousands to have the other dental work completed at. If they can't serve everyone in the public, and not just those with deep pockets then they do not deserve my money, or kind words.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful staff, love that I get text messages as reminders. I have a big family and the same dentist took all of us on so its easy to keep track or chat about how the kids are doing.
They have done cleanings. retainers, arranged dental surgeries. You name it and all work has been spot on, professional and even their machines are quite state of the art.
Highly recommended if you have smaller children!
Dr.Sidhu is a wonderful lady, and she is easy to understand. Unlike previously mentioned by another google review. She is really nice and I feel maybe the other reviewer may have had other hard feelings. I cannot read minds, but I can say in my experience there are NO issues with Dr. Sidhu. My kids love her and she is a wonderful dentist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, this dental office takes advantage of their patience by blatantly lying to get more $$$. A dental hygienist and the office manager both told me that I was LEGALLY not allowed to get my teeth cleaned without getting X-rays and a check up done yearly. They both stated that they did not make the rules and that it was the college of dental hygienist/surgeons that makes the rules not them. THIS 100% FALSE!! The college actually got rid of the “365 day” rule to make dental hygiene more accessible to the public but sunny shores chooses not to honour this. Know your rights, you can decline X-rays and checkups always. You do not need to be pressured and taunted with FALSE legal talk to do anything you don’t want too. Once the practice was called out on their lies they agreed that I was correct. Then, they proceeded to tell me that they like to treat their patience like family, yet they declined me a basic teeth cleaning because of legalities that are not true. Embarrassing and shady! Major thumbs down!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ CDA Valerie was amazing! She answered all my questions and offered a little humour as well. Loved it. Dr. V is the best. I'm so anxious to attend the dentist and he never disappoints with his calm kind demeanour. Unfortunately Dr. V won't be able to complete the primary procedure for which I originally made this appointment and I can not say enough for the honesty and integrity with which he conducts himself. Thank you everyone for the positive experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't even explain the friendliness and kindness at this office. I've been going here since I was 11 (for 14 years) and over the years it's only improved IMMENSLY! I cracked my tooth and they were able to get me in within the hour of it breaking, on top of that I was in the waiting room and was able to witness top notch customer service, with going above and beyond with helping a man with special needs and a young girl who was nervous. So happy to come to this office and Dr. Foo as my dentist. I feel very grateful!
