★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hidden gem offers access to fishing, paddle sports, and swimming for the brave (wear shoes- there are likely many lost lures). Paddle upstream of the bridge to highway 53 and back for a beautiful and peaceful ride that doesn’t require a second vehicle, or head down stream for a point to point trip- either option will take just a couple hours. Private land is on either side of the bridge, so shore fishing areas are minimal. The bridge deck is very slippery... drivers and walkers be warned .
