★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Astonishing building. Could say it's the most magnificent in town. Once the largest structure within British Empire. During WW2 the gold and bonds of British government were stored in a secret safe in the basement of the building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Sun Life Building is a historic 122 m (400 ft), 24 storey office building at Metcalfe Street on Dorchester Square. It was built in 1913 and competed in 1931. The first Sun Life Building was initially designed by Buffalo architect Richard Waite 1889 and subsequently expanded by Robert Findlay in 1890. Until 1913, the red brick building was home to Sun Life, when it moved to the first stage of the newer building.
