We ordered take out only due to Covid so no comment on the place, only food. We can't find any other Chinese restaurant in Sault so we had no other choice and it seemed popular with locals as we saw some locals there as well. However food was not great. Hot and sour soup was a big disappointment. I also ordered sweet and sour shrimp and honestly the soup tasted the same like the sweet and sour sauce. The sweet and sour sauce comes out in pink, no kidding, like the bubble gum pink, which makes me feel uneasy due to the overuse of food coloring. The shrimp came with a huge chunk of batter, the battered shrimp was as big as my wrist and the actual shrimp was as small as my pinky, at least it was crispy. Food didn't taste fresh either, it tasted like microwave food. Some good points are big portion, food was hot and the takeaway packaging was decent. All in all, if you crave for Chinese and can't find any other place, go for it like we did, but don't get your hopes up too high.

Ordered ginger beef and orange chicken as take out items, the flavor was okay. The breaded/battered meats were quite soggy, however. Fairly high price for average food I'd say. Average, and not the cheapest in town either.

Fresh and fast, generous portions! Cantonese noodles, yum! Wonton soup, eggrolls, yum yum!! And husband is really fussy with chicken balls (chicken to dough ratio), he says they're big & meaty so 2 thumbs up from him as well!

Shame we couldn't dine in, but of course Covid. Passing through on our way back home to Winnipeg, read the reviews and heard from locals on how good it was and now we totally agree. Both had S /S chicken balls with fried rice and an egg roll, all of it very tasty and good.

Good meals. Good service. But as an Asian, I have to say. This Chinese food does not making for Chinese people.

They packed my food into a box, great idea except for the large amount of sauce that came from who knows where, that's messed up the back seat of my car. This will be our last time eating at this place unless they finally return our repeated calls and make it better.

We had visited this place a few years ago, while travelling through town, and the food was good. While staying in sault st Marie, we made a point to eat there today. Big mistake! The restaurant is quite large, and when we visited, supper time, it was empty. The decor is old, shabby, and dated- it was dark, and smelled of stale of cigarette smoke, dust and sadness. There was no delicious smell of food cooking. We began by ordering tea, which was served in big mugs with advertising on them - the kind you get free as a promotion. Bad start ... My meal was a disappointment. We started with egg rolls. The inside was basically raw bean sprouts and little else. Seemed to take forever to chew. The chicken balls were rubbery (almost like they were re-heated in a microwave?) Almost impossible to cut with a knife. I was not able to eat the doughy outsides. My 'fried rice' was basically white rice with soya sauce, and one pea. I had 2 deep fried shrimps, no lemon, but at least they were edible. The biggest disappointment was the chop suey!! Basically raw bean sprouts, with a few slivers of onion. No taste. No sauce. No veggies or meat. I ordered a side of chow mein noodles, hoping they would help. But instead of the fried crunchy noodles, I was given a small paper container with stale pretzle-like stick things - yuk. I mentioned my concerns to our server, and she apologized profusely and took the cost of the dried noodles off my bill. .50 cents. I spoke to her again about my inedible meal, and she apologized again, and reluctantly agreed to take 10% off. My meal. She returned with a new bill - minus $1.40. I won't return and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered 3 dishes off Emperors menu last night and it was delicious!! Good sized portions, awesome flavours, friendly staff and didn't have to wait hours for it to be ready. Best taste and service! Will be back soon.
