★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a very nice and cozy place for the seniors. Staffs are really good. They have a person separately for the bath, which is a really nice initiative. When I was there, there was a lurking possibility of fire and they were prepared for the evacuation

Pets allowed I have 2 cats even they like their room
Meals very good for the most part
We have a new chef - Mark Henri - good cook and he has some excellent help and servers
Would I recommend this location - YES

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mother has recently moved into assisted living and since that move the general manager was fired and no one will say why! There was an interim acting GM for one month and now there is a new GM. Try to contact her, haha!
Every time I call to speak with her I get put through to reception saying her mailbox is full. She has been there for almost one month? The management (or lack thereof) is a joke!
If you have a loved one in this facility check on them OFTEN!
I have heard some of the staff talking in elevators and they say they can not work under the circumstances as lack of staff puts more workload on everyone and some have said if it doesn’t change they will quit.
I’m in the process of speaking to my MLA and Interior Health Head office! I don’t even know if the Chinese conglomerate owns SS Village? I don’t know who owns it and need to find out!
No, I won’t go away! I’m not stopping my inquiries and will get answers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mom has lived in assisted living now for 6 years, n she loves it there! Staff r wonderful, like family! Never a dull moment, dancing, music, bingo, dominoes, happy hour, etc! FYI, if mom is happy, so is her family!❤️
