Great views in all directions from the ridge above the lake. Not an easy climb so plan for the whole day.

There is an ethereal, otherworldly feeling to the photograph below, as this little island in the middle of Tumuch Lake in northern British Columbia appears as if it’s floating in the clouds. To bring us back to Earth, a fish has left a ripple in the water on the left-hand side of the shot. The scene was amazing to witness, let alone be lucky enough to photograph—totally the right place at the right time.

Hiked the Viking trail April 10, it was a beautiful day, a bit cloudy. We used snow shoes, which you might be able to due without, but not recommended. The hike goes up and up, you can't get to the top right now due to avalanch risk/no trail. 6.2 kms in and up is well worth the lake-bowl view and closeness to the peaks you encounter at the end of the hike up. It took us about 4 hours up and down. (About 13 kms total)

One of the most beautiful place I've seen in my life! The hike up was hard but incredibly worth the work. Stated overnight and the grounds are kept clean and everyone seems to respect the unsaid rules of the mountain. Switch backs were very difficult, but boy am I glad I went

5 stars because it was an adventure in the outdoors. It is straight minimum 45 degrees of incline to the top. Sometimes to 70 degrees. View is amazing. Was about -10 at the top. When they say layers are necessary, they are, and needed. Snowshoes also necessary for the top. And spikes to come down. This hike is not for the front of heart, or weak of cardiovascular.
