Strathcona School is full in planned classes in Grades 10-12 in the Advanced Placement AND in Grades 10-12 in the Regular program. We will now only accept resident students in the regular program who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area (and Lillian Osborne's attendance area). A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

β β β β β In my opinion, Scona is the best school in Edmonton because of its legacy and tradition, as well as, encouraging a well rounded environment where academics, athletics, and arts are all promoted equally. The school spirit that exists at Scona allows school wide events, like Bikeathon to happen and fosters a sense of school pride and community. The connection between students and teachers sets Scona apart of other schools, with students and teachers alike engaging in athletic competitions, and school events.
The AP program is phenomenal and allowed me to extend my knowledge beyond the regular curriculum and my English AP mark saved my grade during university admissions.
The building was recently renovated so everything is modern. Scona also has a pool, a track, and a soccer field.
Once a lord, Always a lord.

I, nicholas "nic" ramsundar fell in love with another guy at this school. Those were the days, we were sneaking off after school to make love in his car.
Some of the teachers here are so so bad. Cough cough, I'm looking at you principal van ginhoven. How he got a job being a principal beats me. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
But yeah I had a fun time attending this school. Lots of parties and gossiping going on all of the time. There's a lot of gay pride at this school which is good. Remember kids, you only live once, so make the most of your high school days!!!

β β β β β The running track is open to everyone who keeps it the way the school is maintaining it. It's a very place for anyone who wants to witness change in their physical activity.
I walk 15kms on a daily basis and this track contributes to 7-8kms on a day to day basis.
Good for everyone !

β β β β β Had good times here. One of the best drama programs ever with an AMAZING teacher who's the department head. She's surely one-of-a-kind. School holds quite a few events. Even though every school is gonna have some rude students, I never had a bullying issue.

β β β β β this schools a huge fever dreamβ¦ everyday. No diversity at all, lots of hidden racism within the community and not much bullying. Very tight classrooms and weird people. Teachers cut marks off for no reasonβ¦ Might leave depending on my mood- but donβt feel like staying at ALL.But it makes funny memories though. Different types of people and friend groups, it surprises me.

β β β β β Decent school. Above average opportunities for athletics as well as fine arts. Offers a variety of AP classes, although more could be available. The location in the city allows it have school specific bus routes, which is a plus. Overall, not a bad option to consideras a high school near the heart of the city.
