★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a quiet trail that you can go for hiking, walking, and jogging. I was quite enjoying walking in that trail with beautiful nature view, fresh air.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The entire length of Straiton Road is a jewel. How I'd love to see much less litter-tossing and illegal dumping in this beautiful natural space. Join me please in encouraging all users and travelers to keep litter and garbage in their vehicles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did you know the Straiton Trail was once part of the railway between the clay mines (near Auguston) and the Clayburn Brick Factory? From the top end of the trail the railway turned and crossed over what is now Straiton Road on a 70 foot high trestle bridge. The railway continued to climb along that north bank and eventually crossed Straiton Road again, right up today's Auguston Path, using a second trestle bridge, 100 feet high. The railway met the hillside at the top of the current steep incline on the Auguston Path.
