I called AMA and was denied service (no membership/problem was prior to a membership) and they provided me Stony Plain Auto's phone number. I was instantly disappointed when he said they do on site repairs, but once Matt heard it was just my car battery dead, he arrived within 10 minutes and boosted my battery FOR FREE. This was my first experience of Albertan kindness. The next morning I went and had my battery replaced. I have also had two oil changes since then. The service is always friendly, and genuine. I'm always happy to go back and they are my first point of reference for any car needs. Thanks to the Stony Plain Auto team!

A	Amanda Hemminger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought my car in due to a bad oil leak, the guy gave me an estimate of $1000 I asked him if it was worth it, he said if its been good to me so far, prob worth it, he fixed the issue i brought it in for, then as i was paying told me the timing belt was cracked ( he should have told me while he had access to it, as it is an important belt for the vehicle to run) I asked him for an estimate on that and have not heard back. I took it to another mechanic to change the timing belt and was told it was not safe to have my vehicle on the road. There was a ton of other issues not even worth fixing. (vehicle is a 2003) Now I am out $1000 and have no vehicle. He is just in it for the money and does not seem to care much about helping people out.

Waited a few weeks before posting this to ensure car was running very well after a time.Very satisfied with service. Would highly recommend this repair shop.

Matt communicated clearly and honestly. He called me to apologize for not being able to finish my truck repair in end time frame I was told due to part delivery and time constraints. He didn't want to rush to finish the job. Matt wanted the job done right the first time. Which I really respect. Thank you, Stony Plain Auto Repairs.
G	G Soi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hey. I’ve had some good experiences with matt and team. However this trip to the mechanic was not. I was taken. I’ve gotten something replaced when not needed. I know because the problem still exists. I found later the problem exists with the rattling squeaking exhaust system. I guess I was an easy target for that day I won’t be going there again. This is an update. Matt got back to me promptly. Many issues have been resolved. I appreciate Matt getting back to me about the issues I had. Going forward he’ll be my mechanic of choice.
