Sorriya T. of the Burlington Stitch It store exceeded expectations on all accounts. I handed a winter coat with gaping seam holes under each armpit and she was able to confidently and quickly repair both in about 15 minutes. The price was fair and the fix was professional and clean. She and her whole site team were very friendly.

I’ve been coming this stitch -it location for years , even before they relocated. This is the worse experience ever. Arrived at the store and there was a guy and a woman (who don’t understand English according to him) there , and was told they are not taking any pieces and don’t know if they will be opening the next day. There was NO tailors on site during business hours. I had to make sure that this is the store for clothing “Alteration”. The guy was rude to me and to a lady who’s been waiting 3 weeks for her clothes and didn’t even bother to apologize for any inconvenience…. Not sure it’s a franchise or a cooperation store, but I will move my business with stitch it to different location from now on. Very disappointed.

I went to get two buttons sewn back on my pants. It took less than 5 minutes, he used buttons that matched perfectly and did a wonderful job. Really enjoyed my experience here, I highly recommend.

Have brought several items to this location now with nothing but great experiences. I've had pants hemmed and taken in, holes in dresses repaired, zippers replaced and several new fastenings installed on tops and dresses to make them fit better all done with great quality, a quick turnaround and reasonable price.

I stopped in Stitch It Alterations on my lunch to get a small rip repaired on a pair of pants (that I just purchased and never wore) repaired. It was a friendly greeting and exchange from the beginning, with FAST service. My service was complimentary and it could tell that was genuinely coming from a good place. I offered to buy him a coffee/snack from a coffee and humbly declined. I will definitely be bringing more items for repair because good service with greater energy is hard to find in this city. And when we support locally owned, we are building community in the most gracious way. Thank you again for today.

AVOID THIS PLACE. I came here to have my uniform altered as my company will pay for alterations with Stitch It. I should have stuck to my regular alterations establishment as I’m now having to get all the pieces fixed. My dress pants were not altered as I requested them, and my dress shirts have been completely butchered. I asked to have the chest and abdomen taken in as well as the sleeves to render it a more fitted look. The sleeves have been sewed in the completely wrong place and instead of taking in the abdomen along the seam, they decided to create 2 lines down the back (only halfway down the shirt). Not only does the torso look like a poorly altered blouse, but the sleeves are so crooked, I can’t even wear the shirts. My regular seamstress was distraught and unsure if she can fix their mess. So now, I’m paying to have these shirts altered for a second time and hoping they are salvageable. I would avoid this chain at all cost. The manager at this location is pushy and tries to make you believe you don’t want what you are asking for. I wanted slimmer pants, he told me my uniform should not be that slim and proceeded to tell the lady who was pinning the pants to not go any slimmer. (my other identical pair are slimmed to my liking and fit perfectly - I had these done at my regular seamstress). Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere. I will never have work done here again. Even with my stitch it allowance, I rather pay out of pocket to have something done right and the way I request it.
