★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our friend was diagnosed with severe Celiac disease three months ago, and has not gone to a restaurant since then. We decided to try Stickleback West Coast Eatery outside of Sooke after visiting the Sooke Pot Holes because they had gluten-free items on their menu. We're so glad we went there. The server was very kind, understanding and knowledgeable. It made all the difference that she was also Celiac. She told us that while the fries were not made in a separate vat, she could eat them, though her brother, who is also Celiac, couldn't. I had the bowl of sea to sea chowder and wanted a salad. She recommended a side salad, though it wasn't on the menu, and it was still huge! I really enjoyed my local dark beer. My husband's Cajun corn chowder "hit the spot" and my daughter's fish and chips came with a good-sized piece of fish. The view was also great.

Menu & Prices are on the website. Slightly on the pricey side but convincing for the location .

Both myself and my wife had different meals and are both very sick today and through the night. Yes, it's coming out both ends. Anyone else visit on the evening of May 14 and have the same experience?

Mostly pub style food with a gourmet flair. We had the peanut bowl, pulled pork poutine and burgers and all were superb. Will definitely make this a frequent stop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best restaurant in Sooke! My husband has been taking out during pandemic. A staff was always nice even just picking up food. And my son and I went to dine in this month. Staffs were super nice and they were very kind to my 4years old son. He was very happy. Food is stunning! We ordered lemon and cherry cheesecake for desert. The best cake ever. Not too sweet and cherry sauce were amazing! We will come back again with my husband for sure!:) amazing team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been coming to this restaurant for 20 years and it only keeps getting better! They offer the usual pub food and some unique extras like bannock. The fish in the Fish n Chips is top notch btw. The oceanfront view is breathtaking of course. Well-spaced large interior and patio. Sadly it was empty yesterday when we were there on a Saturday - come on people, this place is great and needs our patronage to survive!
