★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rude manager, no carts inside store. If you bring your own bags you better be handy because you are not allowed to set them down to load them. Once again another stressful visit to castlegar no frills.
UPDATE: Tried again to utilize this grocery venue. As a disabled person don't bother going. No carts anywhere near the entrance and no one willing to respond to requests for assistance. 2 strikes your out Steve's No Frills Castlegar. Down graded to 1 star.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A well-stocked store with great options. Their produce is wonderful - I bought a bag-salad and ate it a week after purchasing, and was surprised to find everything as fresh as the day I bought it. The prices, in general, are surprisingly low. I'm from Castlegar but was in Calgary for a few years, and found Castlegar's prices to be excellent, even double-checking a few items to make sure the price really was that low.
The staff is doing the best they can considering the situation (despite some "disgruntled customers" who should take themselves elsewhere if they can't find anything nice to say to the hardworking folk), and I find the long checkout line usually moves pretty fast. I haven't had any issues getting assistance when I need it as there's usually 3 or 4 employees on the floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had worst customer service experience today, at the till the old lady was so rude and completely ignored me and after doing my transaction, she just started talking with the customer after me because she knew her.
I guess she just doesn't like dealing with customers she does not know.
THANKS FOR THE GREAT SERVICE...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually has everything I need at more reasonable prices than other stores. The quality is usually better than you think it will be depending on the product. Their meat has gotten a lot better than it was with no funny after taste. The new Cosmic Crisp apples are to die for: as good as honey crisp without the awful high price. They are insanely good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent prices, fresh food as in expiration date is accurate and trustworthy. The fresh fruits and vegetables are a bit weak because the produce is either good quality of terrible. Yet the meat, dairy, snacks and packaged goods are all tremendous. So I would tell anyone looking to shop for groceries in Castlegar to make No Frills your choice; hands down!
