Best Ski resort in Canada

Great attention to terrain for the best and safest riding experience. We always felt Stellar did a great job at getting us on the terrain we wanted to ski as conditions permitted. Patty and team also were great helping with lodging and other Kaslo advice. You wont regret it!
S	Susan Walker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our first experience heli skiing was that of pure joy. The guides were professional, and took us to deep powder and safe terrain. The first day we had a newer guide who was not as familiar with the terrain so on one run we ended up having to create our own pickup spot, traipsing through thigh deep snow. This was a rookie mistake that while adding to our adventure, was a bit exhausting. Our guide took the brunt of the effort so we were grateful for that. We asked for the lead guide after that, which in turn got us completely first tracks of the run every time. Kouri, our guide on days 2,3 and 4, took us to the steep and deep all the while paying attention to our energy levels and thoughtfully going to areas that would give us some nice change throughout the day. The pilots were amazing and I always felt safe. I give Stellar 5 stars for the skiing, but there is not a breakdown to separate the food and hotel. We had some problems with the dining in the hotel so that brought down the overall rating to 4 1/2 stars but there is no half star available. Breakfast was consistent and wonderful. Even the waitress greeted us by name. Lunches were awesome too.

And so I did go again in December 2018 with 3 ski buddies! Another great repeat performance, finding us good lines and an overall solid experience.

I've been fortunate enough to get in a decent amount of guided riding between helis and snowcats, but my group's day with Stellar definitely takes top honors. Their terrain was incredible, whatever you want you can get (conditions permitting), the guides were top notch, the pilot was great, there was literally nothing that could be improved. If you're debating if it's worth the few extra bucks (OK few hundred) to go this route vs being in a bigger heli with bigger groups, quit thinking about it and pull the trigger. I was already hooked on heli-boarding, but my small group day with Stellar took it to a whole different level. We'll be back again next year, and the one after that, and the one after that etc.
M	Mike D'Antoni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super rad place, not a fan of heli in General, but great guides and back office. Guests are also better than average, Swedish people are lovely and tend to attract people that can actually ski-ride rather than do it to say they did it.

Here you go small groups in the heli that lets you ski as much as you'd like. Great variation of the terrain, chutes, glades, open bowls. Guides are professional and fun to ski with. Book now!
J	Jeremiah Dixon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve experienced a lot of Heli skiing operations so we were excited to experience Steller. Hotel and Hotel staff 5 stars! Patti In the office was the highlight of the trip and restaurant/ Bar staff was great! Skiing was 5.0 stars terrain was great and we accessed great snow despite the grey conditions. Guiding 2.5.Terrain selection was great communication was almost non existent. Customer service minus Patti with regard to the heli operation was 2.0 There was almost no interaction with the guides upon arrival and during our stay the only interaction was “we’re going here at this time” it almost seemed that our guide did not want to be there. Overall we were impressed with the hotel, hotel staff and the skiing/riding but not the heli operation itself. I definitely wouldn’t recommend steller for a first time heli experience. If you have a lot of experience with heli then you’ll enjoy yourself on the hill but don’t expect to be treated like a paying customer.
R	Robert Anderson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little more than a year ago, four of us planned a trip with Stellar Heliskiing.Though late in the season, the powder snow, Kaslo Hotel lodging, and overall experience was remarkable. Jason as both owner and our guide took us on terrific lines. Patti kept us nicely organized. The Kaslo Hotel was spacious with good linens, hot tub, and a great restaurant. We'll be back.
