About Stella's au CCFM

Stella’s… inspired taste & healthy ingredients.
The right way.

Do things the right way. To promote growth of the Stella’s brand, while maintaining a casual, friendly, and familiar relationship with our guests and employees.

In December of 1999, Stella’s Café & Bakery opened its doors to the Winnipeg market at 166 Osborne Street. The concept utilized the talents and experience of each of the founders, Tore, Lehla, Tomas and Anneen to create a menu and environment focused on in-house baked breads, soups, jam, and sandwiches for dine-in or take-away. Simple, healthy, inspired offerings and friendly service propelled Stella’s to instant popularity. An understated approach and commitment to quality allowed the name of Stella’s to be promoted in the most powerful of manners, by word of mouth. And boy, did everyone like to talk about Stella’s.

With the popularity of the first location, expansion became inevitable and, today, Stella’s operates multiple units in Winnipeg, with plans for further development in Winnipeg and beyond. Stella’s has expanded its menu and number of locations, but has never compromised its core values or commitment to quality.

In 2005, Tomas and Anneen sold all of their interests in Stella’s to Tore and Lehla, in order that they could pursue other opportunities in the Vancouver market. Lehla and Tore remain the driving force behind the company and insist on maintaining all of the same integrity in the business as what has made Stella’s a recognized name for quality and great service.

I just went to Stella’s CCFM for lunch with my sister recently and it was such a lovely experience. The atmospheres is so relaxed and very aesthetically pleasing. The staff are so friendly and professional as well. It’s very clean and fast service! I highly recommend the tuna melt, and all their soups are heavenly.

My kids took me out for a Mother’s Day breakfast today and it was busy but the hostesses were organized and friendly so it took only half an hour to get in. Stella’s has a great variety in their menu. Having good vegan choices stands out. All the food looked good, temperature questionable. I understand the kitchen was overwhelmed because of Mother’s Day and service was slow but they should never serve cold food. I had the Salmon Benedict, first one was ice cold, eggs were rubbery. I sent it back and waited again but second one was fabulous and they comped it so that was wonderful customer service. The coffee was terrible though. Stella’s has to find away to organize the kitchen along with good communication with the servers so if it’s busy or slow customers get hot food. I would go back but not on a holiday. Try it for yourself.

I used to truly enjoy Stella’s as a customer until a few months ago. After being an employee, and witnessing their unsanitary and extremely horrendous way of doing things, I understand the NOTMYSTELLA’s movement more than ever. Being employed here for 5 months was truly a nightmare, I actually had my boss the General Manager pull me into his office and tell me I “didn’t look like I was in a good enough state mentally to serve customers properly” and sent me home, with no pay for that day. Because he ASSUMED MY STATE OF MENTAL HEALTH? Ending my employment at this place was the best choice of my entire life. During the pandemic, their “50 % capacity” limit was their full capacity limit, they just moved 4 tables further apart as well as on the patio. Tables do not get sanitized, nothing is cleaned between guests. Waitresses never, and I mean NEVER practice hand washing procedures. They sweep unacceptable customer service under the rug by offering stale, and 9 month out of the year fruit fly infested mediocre baked goods as a way to compensate. They are also incredibly racist and body shame their employees. As a medium sized woman Ive never been “dress coded” more in my life for my floor length dress/skirt being considered too “tight fitting and unflattering” this was said by a KITCHEN MANAGER!!! While tinier female staff members have never been dress coded. I cannot believe this establishment is still running with staff willing to be in these environments. It is truly unacceptable. Do better, Stella’s.

I frequent this location often. 1-4 times a week. Food is terrific. The staff are always friendly and they always strive to improve quality and value feedback. I am very thankful for the management team at the Provencher location as they always do their best to ensure expectations on quality and service are executed to an exceptional level. Great location with great people.

A short wait at 7 o'clock on a Saturday night. Patio was nearly full, but the inside dining was much cooler after being out in the heat all day long. A refreshing glass of white house wine, a peruse of the menu with good detailed descriptions never seems to fail coming to Stella's. The wait for our meal allowed for talking time and refills. The staff served the patio patrons and provided food service to the beer garden with the band next door. Very tasty fish tacos with a Caesar salad and a large bowl of Pad Thai filled our needs. Usually, I have the double Chocolate cake that's a mile high for dessert, but not tonight. The robust coffee was endless and less than $60 bill left me very satisfied.

This was my second visit to Stella, and both times they have been fantastic. The meal was delicious. Breakfast Pancake, Chorizo Hash, and Salmon Benedict are my top picks. The cuisine was excellent, and they served excellent sides. The menu offers a wide range of options, and it has been created to appeal to a wide range of individuals. In Winnipeg, I suggest this restaurant.

Lovely experience! Annika was amazing. The food was incredible, pretty sure you couldn’t go wrong with any item on the menu. Our server gave us recommendations that were great. Portions were huge. Great music and atmosphere.

Stella is Winnipeg's classic brunch place The price has gone up quite noticeably since last time I've been there but the food menu stayed the same. Serving portions are good, smoothies are good, and they make quite good coffee and tea drinks too. This location is always busy but has enough tables to go through the traffic fast.
