Only a good food bank if you have all the paper work they ask for! If you dont have what they ask for dont bother going! You will leave with a bad taste in your mouth and no food to show for it. Bring the previous months bank statements, rent receipt, proof of income, and proof of address(mail).

Very strict, which I I'm grateful for. All of the "staff", are volunteers. I have been going to this food bank for almost five years now and everybody there is so friendly they make you feel positive. They have clothing for children, men and women. A Christmas they give you pretty much a Christmas dinner, frozen turkey vegetables all that stuff and the same for all the big holidays such as Easter. Catherine, who is the Chairwoman of the board of directors from the church that oversees their operation; is one of the nicest people I have met in a very long time. She has honesty and integrity and refuses to be pushed around by anyone. She is more than fair but God help you if you screw her over. Her spouse is also involved in the operations. Both of them know virtually everybody on a first-name basis. I have arranged for two of my neighbors that were in need of some help to get signed up. On many occasions I donate things that I have that I'm not using anymore and I donate my time a couple times a year. People say they're strict at this food bank; because you have to bring in proof of income rent receipts etcetera. I love that they do their due diligence. Times are hard for everybody that's a fact however people taking advantage are not welcome and those of the people that bad mouth this organization which has helped so many including myself for the past several years period without them there are many nights I would have and could have gone to bed hungry; but through the generosity of others, I didn't have to go to bed hungry. If you have any usable household items like pots and pans etcetera children's toys new or in very good condition, non-perishable goods; I urge you to contact the office staff to arrange delivery( don't just drop it off as it will get ruined or stolen and end up in the garbage). A very worthy cause that I personally am grateful for. I'm thankful for all of the volunteer staff, that show up week after week. I thank you also.

When we arrived here in the winter aftercanada our friends from church Gracey told how they are helpful and as we had no job no income only for rent money no child benefits I was worried as a mother .no child tax but we showed our detail and they gave food blankets and clothes for family they were kind helpful friendly volunteers and those working there.they helped us . I pray in Jesus name may he reward you according to his words Whatsoever you do the least of my brethren that you did unto me .(Mathew 25:34_40) God knows our heart circumstances and I thank God for the kindness and providence given to us .

If you are looking to help out in your community - look no further. We were lucky enough to spend some time here and get a walk through to understand the process for families in need who come to this food bank. I was taken aback at the amount of work - completed by volunteers - that goes into making sure everything is organized and accessible. They always need help or contributions - details are on the website - and every little bit helps.

Catherine and her husband are very good people. Very helpful and diplomatic. I have been donating there for many years. All of the volunteers are friendly and efficient. I have seen them help many families and individuals. They have to be strict and request financials from the recipients because people will lie to get 'free' stuff. What they don't realize is that people like me (single mom with two kids) help keep the shelves, fridges and freezers full so that they can get a helping hand when they really need it. Many people DO take advantage of the facility but it is a lot less due to the diligence of the staff. Keep up the good work, St Louise Outreach Centre! People who get a helping hand when they need it please remember to give back to the community whenever you can. Time, money, not needed but good condition items etc. Pay it forward and make Brampton a better place.

BEST Foodbank in Brampton. Catherine (Director), does Great job running the Centre. All the Staff are friendly and VERY helpful. Tammy is a Great help, organizing the pickup and orderly fashion the Centre operates in. Thank you ALL for your assistance. Very much a VITAL part of Our Community.

The st. Louise outreach center has helped my family and I tremendously. Great place when you need some assistance with food.
