Called this morning and spoke with a lady who was not friendly. Was inquiring about pricing and would not provide me any information about 2 bedroom units. I was not finished asking questions, and she hung up on me. If you can’t get quality service from a company over the phone to start with, what makes you think people will want to rent from the company??

Emailed about availability and was told to call. Called all week and left messages and got to answer. Emailed again and got a response: β€œRented”. No signature, no sorry for not getting back to you, literally just the one word. Really really not professional. The name on the original email is Julie Andrews - I would recommend being cautious if you do manage to do a walk through with her, seems sketchy to me.

AVOID THIS BUILDING LIKE THE PLAGUE. Would give 0 ⭐ Recently moved from this location. The building itself is barely passable but management is horrible. -Manager wanted the deposit in cash saying e-transfer was unavailable. Only after pointing out that it was sketchy and that we wouldn't give a cash deposit, she gave us an email for the head office, suddenly etransfer was available. Days later, they told us they couldn't find the deposit and asked for "proof or another transfer", then again after being told no, they found it. -When we moved in, the apartment was utterly disgusting, clearly had not been cleaned in a very long time. It seemed as though someone had gone through for a quick wipe but as you took a slightly deeper look into anything, filthy. When asked if we needed fo add the damaged weather stripping to the inspection report, we were told that they would just come and fix it. -The initial inspection was rushed, management was in and out in maybe a minute as they had other things to do. -The pet policy is laughable, the building advertises as NOT PET FRIENDLY, but dogs are routinely walking around. We were told the rules had changed regarding dogs years ago but we've literally watched puppies grow up through our tenancy here. Even the building manager (Julie Andrews) doesn't follow this policy by having a dog, whom has barked and jumped at me aggressively everytime I've crossed paths with it. -Management is not approachable, when I first visited to inquire about renting, I was approached by the manager and did not realize she was the manager as she was grumpy and seemed to be wearing sleepwear. They've essentially refused to acknowledge me as a tenant, communicating exclusively with my partner. -The building provides a bike lockup that provides minimal security while the bolt that holds the lock is literally held up on a hook. When I purchased my bike, I was unaware that the lease forced me to secure my bike in the lockup. I was essentially barked at by Julies partner, who I had never met before, and failed to even identify himself, telling me I wasn't taking the bike upstairs. Not that I wasn't allowed to, that I wasn't going to, as if he would attempt to stop me should I ignore him. It wasn't until Julie arrived that we understood who he actually was but to this day, we never even got his name. -Parking is provided for a fee, but if someone parks in your spot just call the tow truck yourself. Building manager will just tell you to wait until they leave and won't call. Don't park in visitors or you'll get passive aggressive texts. You can't park more than a car and maybe a motorcycle but the manager keeps her camper in an additional parking spot. -If management needs to speak to you they'll just shout at you from their office as you walk by without addressing you properly or by name. -Security is lacking. The lobby door gets propped open on a regular basis and the bike storage has repeatedly been broken into. We repeatedly have homeless people who approach the building and smoke area to take the leftover butts. There are cameras but they seem to be less for security and more for management to enforce their rules like trash restrictions where they bill you if you throw out something too big for their liking.
