They make lots of promises just to get a sale and then don't follow up with promises. They promise to give you 6 months free and pay out the other company you are with. You end up paying two companies and no compassion from this company in how they scammed you. Looks like they are getting their relatives to give good reviews as the sales man has the last name as person giving review. My advice is avoid this company.

I had no idea the same guys in my toolbox did security through local dealers. We loved the fact they were 100% Canadian (we were Reliance (Canadian) and then got switched over to Adt (American) a few years ago via a letter in the mail). Also liked that we were able to pay $45 instead of the 49.99 and it came with a free upgrade including a free doorbell camera that my life loves for her Amazon packages. Switch was easy. Everything pretty much stayed the same except our price dropped, we got a doorbell camera and a nifty app to run it all. And we liked that it stayed the same because we are not big fans of change!!

Worst customer service. I had called the mainline number and i was transferred to the manager as that was the person I needed to speak with. I had informed the manager that I was looking for some information about their company as I was doing some research on companies in Edmonton to better help job seekers get back into the working force and he immediately said he didn't care to help and hung up. The manager was very disrespectful and he truly showed he did not care about his fellow people in Edmonton and helping them get back into employment. I believe that we should be kind with one another especially during these awful times and to give a helping hand whenever we have the opportunity to do so.

This is by far the worst alarm company I've ever had to deal with. Signed up for "6 free months" but it's actually put back on and they rush you through everything so you don't have time to got through the contract. My daughter pulled the doorbell camera off and they were going to charge me an obscene amount of money for a technician to come out and screw it back on(I did it myself). And now I'm in the process of moving, where I was told to leave my equipment at the prior address and am now worried that I was given the wrong information and am now going to be charged to hook up at the new location. To try and call these people is a headache on its own because your given various phone numbers and emails from everyone else that you try and call. Would never recommend this horrible company and its services to anyone, EVER.

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. We were happy with our Vivint service but then along came a slick salesperson who promised us that Stanley would pay out our Vivint contract and provide us more up to date equipment at a lower cost. This sounded pretty good so we agreed to a 60 month contract. When we realized that the salesman had no authority to say they would pay out our existing Vivint contract and they in fact were not going to do so we tried to cancel the contract. They would not let us out and demanded that we continue to pay for a contract (that was sold to us under false pretenses). Since we have no written proof that they promised to pay out the Vivint contract we are stuck paying this contract or face collection and/or legal action. They do not care about anything other than the 57.00 per month that they take from us. BE AWARE PEOPLE. Stay away from Stanley Security and Capitol Security ( they provide the equipment for Stanley) and were the ones who employed the slimy sales rep. I wish I could provide less than a one star rating.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Worst customer service. I have been fighting with them for 5 months to cancel a system in a house that has been sold and it has been awful. Trying to pay out the cancellation fees and keep getting run arounds and told it will be cancelled but they never do. Then get emails that you haven't submitted paperwork when the week before told it would be cancelled that day. And the paperwork I haven't submitted per them is in the email thread they are responding to. This company is going to ruin my mental state.

Stanley security has been very difficult to deal with. Our security system was transferred from intelife and was told they were taking over all accounts. I later found out Telus security took over all intelife accounts. I was also told by the sales person that I had 6 months to cancel my account because they were providing 6 months free due to money owed from intelife for hardware. At the 6 months mark I called to cancel my account and was told I actually only had 10 days and I am now stuck in a 6 year contract. I do not recommend Stanley security because of their lack of transparency and rude customer service.
