Big beach area with shade if you want or large open areas. Water is cold and shoreline is modified for a nice sandy walk into the shallow water and it has a gradual slope into deeper water. No smaking and no drinking adult beverages; great for families.

It's a man made lake in the Prarie. Best place around for out door swimming, but thats not saying much. Water is super muddy, but that comes with the environment. Staff did a great job making a nice place for boating and swimming.

Police were called to the site to deal with camp ground attendants!! Booked 6 sites for a Saturday, one person misunderstood and came a day early and set up in the empty site that was to be theirs. It was 9:30 pm and the office was not answering the phone. At 11:30pm a drunk mullet sporting moron on a quad stopped on the next road over with his spotlight aimed at them yelling about dogs not being allowed at the beach... ok? Then again with the yelling about the dog (that is allowed at the campsite) not being allowed at the beach... who are you??? With the park? With the campground? Trying to set up in the dark here with a spotlight in my eyes... drunk idiot gets violent, screaming and swearing then leaves and his wife Kim shows up. She is insane going on and on about the "presumptness" yes, the "presumptness" of not being reserved. Everybody is explaining it was a misunderstanding, we will pay the extra night, we are already set up, and then fine ! We will leave then ! She won't listen and she won't stop. The police were called because it was escalating and the quad moron was sure to be back now. She told the cop to his face "you are not allowed to talk to them unless I'm here" haha ok so the cop drags her away and the other cop tells us "they are VERY hard to deal with and they will stay if you don't feel safe and want to pack up" INSANE!!! Never in our lives seen more belligerent people. None of us will be coming tomorrow now and they have refused to refund any money even though they were offered an extra fee for the extra night !! Never, never stay there. No wonder they have the only available sites in the area ! The picture is of us all being stocked and watched the whole time until we were gone the next morning !! These people are insane and dangerous.

It's a nice place to go swimming. You got nice trees for shade and a dock and a beach. You can rent paddle boards and life jackets. They've got snacks and drinks. If they had a couple of volleyball nets on the beach it would be even better. Only downside is the bathrooms. Just portable ones. Also a bit of seaweed in the water. Overall it's a good place to go though. I'm definitely gonna be going back.

A family friendly beach and boating area. Tons of campers and they all have built in decks which were so cute! Concession that has hot dogs and ice cream, and small kayaks for 5$ and paddle boards for 15$ until 8pm. Beach until 9pm. 10$ per vehicle without boat. Close to town, so great location and tons of fun. Would recommend.

Nice beach with good mix of sun and shade. However, safety is definitely an issue. Some watercraft pass the swimming area too close and far too fast. Many "paddlers" are without floatation vests and emergency equipment. Does it take an injury or close call to get the rules enforced?

We went camping at Staford Park for 3 days. When we first got there I wondered what we got ourselves into. Once we got the trailer set up, tossed the lawn chairs out and sat down I realized it was pretty good. The view of the lake and all was really nice. The place fills up with people and boats all day. The beach is quite nice compared to most prairie beaches and extends quite a way. There aren't alot of on site amenities however there are a few mobile vendors that park in for the day if you need a treat. We even got a season pass to the beach for the year. The price was fair and it beats the tar out of the Coaldale swimming tub. Lastly I know this place has bad reviews from the old owners. Don't be discouraged. The new owners are very nice and accommodating. They are in the process of developing new camp sites and the park in general. Stafford Park has a lot of potential (wish I bought it) and I can't wait to see how it comes together over the next years. I'm glad I'm only 10 minutes away. PS Massive boat launch! Although I dont have a boat the place makes you want to get one. You'll see.
