My children went to this school from k-6. We moved to Vancouver this year and enrolled our children into another catholic school. I am writing this review purely based on my experiences at St Patrick's. There is only 1 good thing that came out of the school. It is secure . This school has crushed my children's confidence and including social skills and emotional development. One of my children was not allowed in the reading club because under their guidelines "she wasn't a strong reader" She is now the director of her school reading club within 3 months of attending the new school. There was one occurrence where we had to get the faculty, including the principal , the father and other members of the church to write a letter of apology to my son. They tried to defame him in front of his peers and we could no longer stand this. That was one of our many experiences of that school. If you are not part of the inner circle of parents, teachers and faculty then your child will be used as a scapegoat who will be blamed and criticized for everything. Don't be fooled by the fake smiles and "good mornings" the parents (mostly the ones who are very active in the church and school) will be talking and gossiping about your children. The lack of emotional and social development of my children was evident and we had to do a full intervention to build their confidence back. My children are only flourishing and successful in their new school. We only get positive feedback from their teachers at school. They went from below average, bullied and judged, to being the top of their classes respectfully, and what's more important they are socially accepted. We trust in God and we must forgive , but its hard to forget.
