It is pretty good if you go right at opening hours and basically have the whole gym to yourself, however if you go at any other time of the day it'll usually be packed and you'll barely be able to even work out. This gym only has 1 squat rack, only 1 bench that you can adjust, 2 actual bikes (not including the 2 useless reclined bikes that people don't want to use), only 3 regular sized barbells, basically no space to lift weights on the rubber padded area infront of the mirror (if there are 4 people here it feels packed), as well as many other space issues that arise when there are even just a few people in the gym (depending what they are doing). 35$+ per month is really a huge rip off for what you get, especially when compared to other gyms that have a bigger actual gym, a running track, basketball court, and a pool for the same/similar price.
S	Scott McNally on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ladies who work at the YMCA are friendly and helpful. everything is kept quite clean thanks to hard working staff and thoughtful members cleaning up after themselves. The gym is equipped with an aging late 1990’s/early 2000’s Life Fitness circuit, 4 treadmills, stepper, a few other cardio pieces, smith machine, half rack and boasts a free weight area with dumbbells up to 100 lbs. Overall, the YMCA of St Marys has plenty to get a good workout in at any level of fitness. They had to remove a handful of machines, my guess is due to limited space and new space restrictions due to Covid regulations. The negative? Pricing for month to month is like $75-80, which I would expect at a higher end club with modern equipment and frivolous services like fresh towels. If you have a family, rates are better but single individuals pay an extraordinary premium, especially for a gym that is reducing the amount of aging equipment it offers. On the bright side, hopefully YMCA will use this money to invest in more equipment. To sum up, it’s great that ymca is making this facility avabile to portions of their community. I enjoy training at this gym and am grateful I am in a place in my life that I can afford to. When I was younger that may not have been the case
L	Lauryn McMichael on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The facility is okay in itself but the dress code is ridiculous. Women should feel free to workout in what they are comfortable in and in my opinion if this place is trying to transform itself into an inclusive environment it should drop the dress code.
