This is more for Google than about the school. Google says it's on 11 Street SE but it's actually on 11 Street SW which is incredibly annoying when it's a 30 minute walk away to begin with!

Terrible teachers who watch movies instead of teach their students. The anti bullying program is laughably appalling as none of the staff even attempt to stop students from bullying eachother. Finally the school won't fix any of the broken furniture for the students instead they will buy new furniture for the teacher Lounge from expensive stores across the city. (You wonder where you're school payments are going) and the staff say that the school has no money to get better classroom equipment.

Someone needs to tell the staff and parents at this school to learn some respect for the neighbourhood they live in. There is a well paved and secure parking lot at the back of the school but parents and staff are always blocking up both sides of the street in front of the school with vehicles which for those of us wishing to visit friends is truly a pain. I fail to see why they are not parking at the back other than sheer laziness on their part. It is disrespectful to people who own homes along the street and its an inconvenience and danger to local traffic having to watch for kids popping out between cars as they dash across the streets. It makes it very hairy when the street is slippery in winter too. Honestly, what a poor example they are setting for their students and students who ride motorcycles to school should also be parking in the back not along the road facing outward.

Some of the teachers were absolutely horrible and put down their students. I would never want to back there again. There was only about three teachers that had common sense as to what life was about but the rest were people who were only there who had to be. The vp and principle are equally as bad, they didn't do anything with the drama and personal issues with students. 10/10 would not recommend going there again.

I went to this school almost 3 years ago and it had good and bad qualities. The fine arts program was amazing and I loved being able to put my interests into something good but there was a lot of drama. The whole 3 years I was there, I was bullied beyond belief and the teachers didn't care at all. There was also a lot of favouritism from the teachers and if you weren't their favourite you basically got ignored. There was a lot of opportunity though and it wasn't too bad. Mrs. Remekis was the best teacher. Y'all are lucky to have her.

I was a student at St. Mary's back in 1981, I arrived from Scotland in May. I was only just turned 13 (may 3rd) & in grade 8, so I was the youngest in class. I got bullied for being foreign, I hated being called a "Limey" being a Jock anyway. I got in fights with one Marcel Gautier (gochay) and anyone who wanted to pick on the new kid. They soon found out I could give as good as I took. Even kids in the elementary would hang up on me knowing I couldn't really best one of them up because of their ages. I was glad at the end of term & moved to Edmonton. All in all one hell of a welcome to Canada.
