I highly recommend that you do not go to this school. I've had teachers talk bad about their students in front of the class which makes the learning environment stressful and unenjoyable. A lot of kids are mean and like to put others down. There are many kind hearted teachers and they know who they are but overall, it feels like hell going to loyola. It's stressful even thinking about that school. Good luck if you're going there.

I can say this now that I graduated but in my final years I collected "artifacts" from the school and kept it in my locker. I think I ended up with one chair leg, 2 bricks, a tile, three anti vaping posters, a picture of Stalin and 6ix9ine, a locker number (which is now on my key chain)and a door handle. Me and my friends also stole all the unlocked locks in the last few days of school and connected the two swings at the park next to the school. Also I may have been responsible for the infamous chungus wongus picture :) 3/5 - learning sucked but there was some fun times

Okay so the school looks nice and prestigious. But like the people have such a bad attitude and you are even lucky if you find a good person at this school. Let me flashback to 2015, okay so basically I got called ugly on this first week I attended in the caf. And literally a semester later I get ganged up on by the faculty for dating a kid.. and this school really isn’t welcoming and inviting at all. This was the worst school ever to graduate from. I only was here for a year at the time. I have to deal with living across this horrible place. This school wrecked my childhood just as much as Woodlands Secondary and Iona Secondary. This school is full of fakes and just unreasonable people. Avoid this school at all costs. Only the food is good

I'm so sorry that the school has changed so much. When I went it was great. I graduated however in 1995. Most of u were probably not even a twinkle in your parents eyes yet. Lol As most of u who are my age can relate. Education is so so different now. Most of us have 2 income families and have less time to communicate with our kids. But pls make time and get things resolved as soon as there is an issue. Kids are our future.

Unfortunetley The staff are very mean and unwilling to cooporate with students. English calss particulerly was a poor area of work, and teachers didnt help me improve after 4 years. However I learned a lot about important studies like sonic inflation and the dangers of vaping while I was there. mr wong out.

If you are coming to this school from Grade 8, Grade 9 will be your hardest year as the teachers in that grade are the most rude/strict and mark really hard (for the most part). Loyola has a lot of bad eggs who try to be "gang" and break rules thinking they're cool and you will most likely be teased by people like this. The principal, Mr. Wong is a great guy who seems very enthusiastic and acts like he is trying to make school fun. The vice-principals, however, are way too serious and don't show any personality. They don't care about you or if you are having a good time, they will just want to get you in trouble when you do something wrong. Some things I can compliment the school on, are a decent amount of the teachers are very nice/understanding/cool after Grade 9. They also have many sports teams and clubs which is good for any athletes. Civvies days (no uniform days) are about once a month, and during the football season they have buy-outs to go see the football game (sometimes with donations going to charities/food drives which is a big plus). Some things I wish they did better would be making the announcement info more publicly available online because during the morning a lot of people start talking and it is easy to miss the announcements. Also wish that some info for students was more available, like for example once I wanted to read up on Loyola's Foreign Exchange program and couldn't find any info on it. If I were to rate my routine waking up early in the morning and doing homework, it would be 1 star but that's something all schools do, so I think 3 stars is a fair rating. There are several things they did good, but still room for improvement in a lot of ways.

Overall this is a decent school. One thing I like about spending all 4 years here is that teachers remember you from one year to the next and form bonds and jokes with you and the others in your grade. This makes learning and the experience more enjoyable. Staff in the main office and student services is not helpful. Attendance secretary was very unpleasant. Guidance counselors are kind but are not helpful when it comes to planning in Grades 11 and 12, as they seem to simply be going off of a checklist of questions and suggestions rather than assessing every student's different case. Big problem with new grade 9 students vandalizing washrooms and leaving garbage in the atrium. The commissioner would tell other students to pick up garbage that isn't theirs or else they would serve consequences. Overall pretty good but nothing exceptional.
