★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Needs expert organization. Always at sixes and sevens. Sound knowledge of nutrition and special dietary needs is drastically required. I am diabetic......extra sugar anyone? Overall, the lack of knowledge or education is apparent. Most people are friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ they seem to have a really good temporary care program for people who are in need of convalescence between hospital and rehab. they say it's a senior's community but it's also a place for people in their 40s and 50s to convalesce

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are many issues with St. Hilda's, including a staff more invested in managing patients meds and routine than improving quality of life. Activities are designed towards 5 year olds.
The average age of residents is 89.
There is no encouragement of autonomy or independence, in fact it is discouraged ...
Facing bankruptcy, 40million dollars of current funding is being provided through the City and other Government bodies to bring it back to its former glory.
Throwing money at this to repair the building while neglecting the real issues of mismanagement lacking in compassionate care is money wasted.
Seniors are not children and deserve dignity with compassionate individual care to meet each Resident in what their capable of instead of grooming helplessness.
