★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called City Hall twice this week and on hold for 28 minutes and have a quick question. I will now (even with covid happening) will drive and enter the building to ask my question. Too cheap to hire a few extras to answer the phone when I pay taxes. SAD. This city is gong downhill at a fast pace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here I would like to share my experience during Covid timing. The facility is closed so it’s better to make all your payments online unless if you would like to drop off a check you can do so at Jamison street entrance there is a small mail drop off box where you can leave your stuff in envelope. If you need an assistant there is a bell someone can come down and help you out. The parkings are very limited it took me about 15 minutes to find a spot but then I parked three minutes away from the City Hall, half an hour is $2.5. The facility has electric car charger

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The inbreeding at City Hall has produced the worst collection of incompetents I have ever had the displeasure to deal with and at this point I am contemplating hiring a out of town lawyer as I have so much evidence on this group most of them will be out of a job!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wouldn't it be more efficient to have a menu of departments to select when calling City Hall instead of waiting a very long time for Citizens First to answer the phone? I had to call two times this week - 50 minute wait the first time and 38 minute wait the second time :(

Got put on hold for 25 mins just to get disconnected
When I called back the offices were closed.
Really professional glad I pay my taxes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reviewing city hall is weird, kind of a necessary place for taking care of boring tasks. I got my marriage license, which is at least kind of exciting, the attendant was very polite and nice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building department is awful- more than a month to call me in to clarify a” few things” . I was then requested to provide an additional drawing for more information even though I pointed out all the information they needed in the drawings provided. I went home drew up what was asked and returned the next day in person to deliver the document. 3 weeks later I received my rejection email with no reason why. The next day I was first in line at 830 am to get answers. The reasoning was pathetic and nitpicking. A simple 1500 dollar project has now cost so far. 3000 for a needed survey - 1200 for stamped drawings and whatever a variance may cost even though I have no neighbours and tied into a 40 year old sunroom . No wonder people don’t apply for permits it’s a headache and there are way too many opinions involved. Trying to improve a home can be stressful now multiply whatever you anticipate by 100
