Excellent service from department manager Garett and saleperson Kevin. Was constantly kept updated as to the assembly and preparation of my new bicycle. Will surely recommend store to friends and family.

Shoutout to manager Jamal at this location for being kind enough to offer me a store credit to compensate me after a pair of shoes I purchased online about 6 months started giving me severe blisters! There were no issues whatsoever, a completely hassle-free return for a store credit!!

It’s a nice place although I find their collection for clothing specifically mens is lacking. In my opinion they somewhat have things for a specific category that’s different from when they used to have. I went to use the washroom and it was the biggest hassle because they couldn’t find the key. I waited more than 10 minutes then witnessed an awkward encounter with the manager and associate. Something customers should not see.

I would like to say thanks to Anita for helping me track a hard to find item today. She went completely out of her way to help me call a few stores to see if they have the item I was looking for. Anita, you are the best!

Friendly staff. Upon trying to check out brought Champion hat , winter without a price tag. 2 staff couldn't find the price after 15 minutes of waiting you've lost a customer. I asked if you can't find price then what? We call the manager, no one in sight huge store. Do you think during covid anyone should be hanging around?

Had my son's ski's waxed and sharpened and pick them up today (Jan 14, 2022 roughly at 4PM). I waited about half an hour. The individual that was at the service desk, Paul (I believe that was his name - was an older gentleman), was serving a customer that was picking up four snow boards. He helped the customer bring it to the front and came back and asked what I was waiting for. I told that I was here for picking up ski's that were serviced, he then indicated he will get someone to get them for me. Paul then went to the next person in line, which based on their conversation, they knew each other (discussing how he worked at National and of course, discussing the working conditions etc...). The customer was there to sharpen skates. After waiting another 15 min another employee came by and asked if someone came out yet. I told him no. He then indicated he will get someone (again). I asked him why he couldn't get the product for me? I have the ticket number, all he had to do was match up the numbers and send me on my way. Total time it took for pick up when the store was empty was 30 min. We left the place around 4:45PM (had to pay for something else). What I am confused about is why didn't the first associate (Paul) didn't service me to begin with? He helped retrieve four snowboards for the customer before me, and he was willing to writeup the paper work to sharpen skates up for the person after me, I am pretty sure he is more then qualified to help me with my transaction which shouldn't take more then 5 minutes. To the store manager: employee's such as Paul should be retrained in providing customer service and professionalism. Customer's do not want to hear how the working conditions are and their negative opinion about the company, even if the conversation is between himself and to another person he knows personally. Such conversations should be taken offline. I will give this store another chance as I have dealt with other employees that were great in the past, however, if this keeps up, I will take my business elsewhere.

Watch out for Jamal! He is the assistant store manager at this location - and he is awesome! I went into this Sport Chek with a particularly complicated request. I wanted to buy a pair of cross country skis and a matching pair of boots (neither of which were available in store) using a corporate discount coupon (that could only be used for in-store purchases). Jamal was able to get me the items on my list, apply the coupon, and have them shipped to my house all while he was troubleshooting other cashier's requests. This guy knows exactly what he is doing. I challenge anyone to go into this store and try to stump Jamal. He is a wealth of knowledge and he has tremendous customer service skills. My family and I may even return to this store just for him.

I never write reviews but thanks to Jessica, I had the best customer service experience. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed when I was in a bind and needed lots of equipment day of. This woman is an angel and made my day. I'm incredibly appreciative and hope management recognizes her as a great employee!
