Spirit Halloween

Told me to wear a mask uhm hello I'm wearing a mask ? great store overall it's hard to find something close to the last minute Halloween outfit but great store!

They follow my friend and I around for absolutely no reason every time, and it makes me very uncomfortable due to my severe anxiety so I usually leave as soon as I go in cuz I just can’t stand it- :/

This store opens at this location every year in our city. Years previously, Victoria has always tried to have 2-4 different Halloween store brands, but in the last couple years, this franchise is the only one that has stuck around. That being said, I LOVE halloween, and come to this location right when it opens, and ALWAYS buy new product from Halloween decor, costumes and makeup (theres this store or walmart or michaels for Halloween items, and thats essentially all we have here). Now bear with me, I've ALWAYS been followed around in this store, year after year, (I'm a small framed, WOC, in my 30s') but I think this year I've had finally had enough of it. I should be able to shop comfortably and I can't. Everytime I walk into this location, I make sure my purse is closed, my hands are out of my pockets, I make sure I look at items IN PLAIN VIEW of the staff, but each year it fails. I'm still ALWAYS FOLLOWED, I see them in the corner of my eye peering around corners at me, I will even ask them questions about items just so they can see i'm not a thief or threat or anything to worry about. BUT its no longer a fun experience for me or my sisters or my friends who I chaffeur to the store, I'm tired of pretending this is okay. This year, I even ordered three masks from them (Lock, Shock, and Barrell ;) ) just to attempt becoming a familiar face to them, but that was a wasted effort too. On top of that, I tried to purchase an item, it was priced at $31.99 but when I went to check out, my total was $65.00. I had a costume, and two accessories, which should have only added up to $45-ish, turns out that two of my three items were "Priced incorrectly" and my costume is actually $40, and the one accessory was $15, (not $10 like the tag said). SO, I completely understand that the cashiers have ZERO control over the prices and items, etc, but the cashier told me i had to pay the $65, even though the mistake was on the stores end, and I also think Management needs to take a bit more responsibilty and/or training around racially profling, and customer service skills. If they're not busy following me around, (and probably others too), they're standing around looking grumpy as hell and its just not a fun shopping experience anymore. I'm sure this review will do absolutely nothing, but Im putting it out there, that maybe im not the only one sharing this experience. Thank you.

This place has so much costumes and accessories. For the price the quality is good. Highly recommend!

A great selection of costumes and pop memorabilia for all ages.

Lots of selection for all ages , good quality costume packs ,, definitly a hefty cost for some costumes tho , worth it

Unfortunately was a bit late to the party. I guess many good costumes were already gone but the line up still talked about how good the store is. And great ambience too.

I was reluctant to visit the store because of the poor customer service reviews. However, my experience today was great. Plenty of staff around to help customers find what they are looking for, and all very pleasant and well spoken. Great experience and lots of Halloween costumes to choose from.
