About Spa Ceylon Ayurveda

I completed studies in Sri Lanka in 1998 where I graduated from Kumari Beauty Institute with a diploma in Beauty Culture & Esthetics.I furthered my studies in 2009 at the Hills Spa & Beauty Academy in Sri Lanka where I completed a diploma in Spa Therapy & Beauty Culture.

In 2011, I arrived in Canada and pursued a certificate in 2014 from The Esthetic Institute as a Brazilian Wax Technician. In 2015 I also completed a certificate as an Advanced Skin Care Therapist Microdermabrasion from the same institute.

I graduated from Makami College as a RMT and have the ability to provide receipts that can be claimed as a healthcare expense with your provider.

I started my career working at spas in Sri Lanka and than moved to Bermuda for five years to gain more spa experience.

Upon moving to Canada I worked at various spas before opening my own home based spa in 2015 located in Auburn Bay, SE.

There is a sense of pride and accomplishment when you know you are helping clients feel beautiful about themselves.

I offer services that can nourish your mind, body & soul through authentic therapeutic Ayurveda Treatments.

Among other massages, my eye went for “Shirodhara head massage” . Shirodhara comes from the two Sanskrit words “shiro” (head) and “dhara” (flow). It's an Ayurvedic healing technique that involves having someone pour liquid — usually oil, milk, buttermilk, or water — onto your forehead. It's often combined with a body, scalp, or head massage. Romaya, who is the owner and RMT welcomed us by following covid protocols. The spa was spotless and she was wearing mask, she measured the temperature using a temperature gun. She used the oil head massage.The treatment was amazing, she was gentle and kind, the message was relaxing. After the head massage, she massaged the neck and shoulder as well. We were looking for a good massage therapist and glad we found a professional massage therapist who knows what she’s doing and amazing at her job! Highly recommend Spa Ceylon Ayurveda Calgary! Would definitely go again!

She is very polite and professional and always caters to your needs. I love getting her Indian foot massage, as my job involves being on my feet for 7-8 hours a day. Last time, I also got head massage and it felt AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a good massage, visit her once and you won't go back!
