South Simcoe CY Marina

It's in town. About all I can say. Dropped my boat off to get carburetor tuned. Payed a $90 deposit. Couldn't even tell me when the mech was going to be in, (he works whatever, whenever), let alone when he could look at my boat or fix it. They tried to tell me i couldn't take my boat out, hooked up and got the duck out of there.

For the past 10 years I have been with different marinos unfortunately This is the only marino that I had to call the police to get my boat out for the reason that the owner Christie wanted to charge me twice The money that I paid cash Already however she got an extra $920 from me before she let me out.. While my boat was there I found out that the workers along with owner Would take parts and items from most of the boats .... Please read the reviews before you make any decisions to go there South simco Marina is a fraud...please Do your research before you go there

I will try to avoid this place from now on. Launched here for the first time a few days ago, It’s not a bad launch but it cost me over $22 taxes included to launch a PWC (Yamaha Waverunner) which in my opinion is ridiculous, maybe I could understand if there was some sort of improvements/upgrades being done but no. Wife went in to use the washroom and she said it was absolutely disgusting and would have felt better using an outhouse that hadn’t been cleaned in a month!

River is good for kayaking.The price is 5 dollars per person. Owner is rude. I will not go there again. people need to learn to be kind.

Friendly staff and even though the boat launch was shallow for my tesla, it was clean and not crowded

Great boat launching spot. Lake and surrounding landscape is peaceful and breathtaking!

Let’s start with the good? For the small price you pay, you get some privacy and the lane is big enough to allow you to find a spot to park your vehicle if that’s all you want in order to launch an inflatable boat/kayak,canoe. The shop seems to have some refreshments at a marked-up price sadly, but it’s a marina nonetheless, perhaps not the nicest or cleanest. Now the bad… From what I can see there is only one boat launch with a single lane which means you’ll have to wait a while to launch or bring your vehicle back on trailer. The place is infested with geese, they legit have more authority over the land than the owner, there are some spots which could be used to launch inflatables, kayaks, and so on but the area is guarded by hissing geese to the death. Not to mention the whole area is covered is goose poop. Speaking of poop… the bathroom is horrendous, I went in there with a face mask, see photos. The water is laden with gunk, that’ll do your engine no justice. You’re better off using one of the side roads that runs along the canal if you just want to fish or use an inflatable/kayak or canoe. If you need a place to park for the day and spend some time, it may be worth a visit but don’t expect much at all, this place has the bare minimums. It gets a 3 star because of the lack of organization and cleanliness, but paying for parking was fast and the woman I spoke to was nice enough. As I said, it’s worth a visit if you’ve never been and you like to explore new areas, but don’t expect too much.

Great launch spot ? Basic amenities and marina but great location and plenty of parking. This has become a regular staple spot to ride from and on choppy days you can still enjoy the flats of the river… just remember where your no wake zones are!
