★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped at the South River Chip Stand after a couple at a picnic area just down the road recommended it.
Honestly, We weren't sure if it was the highly supportive review they were giving the place and thei fries or the pure enjoyment on their faces as they bit down and savoured the fries one after another fter each bite.
We had to taste for our selves...all that hypr?
Indeed, savoury and left us wanting more. The fries and poutine did not disappoint.
Serving sizes were generous, customer servixe was excellent.
The owners were friendly, respectful and loved sharing information about their community. I loved meeting Geoffrey and Maria and their business oriented kids. I know that while this was our first visit it will now be a regular stop for us. Moving forward, I feel like their poutine and fries will be one of those meals / snacks that family rushes to put in front of you to welcome you back with some old favourote comfort food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t think I’ve ever been to a chip truck that is this generous with their French fries. Holy smokes, the family fry box would feed my friend Jason and 7 of his 9 kids.
Even though I’m a grown man with a growing beer belly, I had to save some of my double banquet burger for later.
The fry stand owner does this fun gambling game after you’re done ordering: he draws a card from a full deck and if it’s a Joker the meal is free. There are two Jokers in the deck. The odds of winning are pretty bad, but they’re 100% better than any other fry stand I’ve been to.
We drew the 3 of clubs, so I was the Joker. Thankfully I had the money.
Seriously, though, stop in and order ? Thanks, South River Chip Stand.
