This trailhead is located in the north side of Kananaskis Lake, the roadside of 742. This trail isn’t too long, the round trip is around 8 km with 700m elevation. This last 200 meters are a little steep. On the top of peak, look towards south, you can see the lower Kananaskis Lake, a beautiful deep blue lake in summer.

One of the best hikes with 360 degree views from the peak. The hike is doable, one should be experienced with some moderate hiking in past. We did in winter, so nothing technical. Ridge walk was doable to reach the peak. Since the hike is described as hard, expect the steep climb since the beginning of trail. A little moderate section in between and then climb couple peaks to reach the final summit. We recorded 7.44kms out and back from the parking lot. True snow was set, that made our ascent and descent comfortable but while returning due to sunny weather, the lower part of the trail became slushy. Poles definitely recommended for descending. Spikes in winter recommended as well. We had the peak to ourselves for over an hour, really enjoyed the summit with sun and no wind.
