★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was nice, however there wasn't any sort of dock for boats or fishing. I suppose one could go fly fishing here with the right gear but not sure if the fish are good to eat lol. Anyways, great place to get away from the busy city streets, only a 20 minute drive from Millwoods Edmonton. I will definitely be returning there for another visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of picnic spots. The washrooms are not always tended the way they should be. BYO TP! The garbages are mostly by the parking lot so also bring a bag for garbage!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pleasant picnic area on a quiet village. The park adjoins S Cooking Lake and is a pretty and nicely forested site.

It's quiet, there are fire pits available if you wanted to have a fire and a picnic also there is a huge fire pit so it be no more like for a group thing as well as the Cook House. If you are expecting to get down close to the water you will not be able to from this location. There are walking trails. Many people have come with binoculars that went walking on some of the trails so that would suggest there's a bunch of waterfowl somewhere along the way that people are watching or something.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hidden gem. Paths are great for the kids. Lots of room to play and run in the field (soccer in the summer and skating in the winter!!). Added bonus that there's an outhouse and a cook house!! The playground and hall are a short walk away.
