β β β β β I love shopping at Sobeys for a lot of reasons but was very disappointed yesterday with the customer experience. Went in to buy a gift card for someone and asked the cashier for help in locating them. She was very unhelpful and very annoyed that I would even ask. Told me at the end that she didnβt know if they had any or where to look for them.
Left store without my card and went somewhere to buy one. So very dissatisfied in the service.

β β β β β management is awful. rude cashiers and grocery staff. staff dont know where any products are, and apparently management cant take a little criticism. never been treated worse in my life. would never shop here or recommend anyone to ever shop here. zero stars. watch as this review gets removed as well ;)

β β β β β Tonight I spent an hour gathering my groceries when the power went out. I was at the back of the store and it was pitch black in the store. Not one staff member checked the store to make sure people were Ok. I have a light on my cell phone which I was able to turn on to find my way to the cashiers. There was emergency lighting at the front of the store yet nothing down the aisles or at the back of the store. This is unsafe and should be addressed. I had to leave the store without my groceries as none of the cash checkouts were working. It was a power outage out of the store's control. Checking the aisles for people is a must for safety reasons and more emergency lighting would also be safer. Why the staff did not have enough power to operate one cash machine is also a no brainer. Managers need safety training so they can properly manage the store in a power outage.

β β β β β This grocery store is a great place to get fresh baked goods from the bakery section. It's always super soft bread and buns. This stores employees are very welcoming and always have smiles to greet you with. Also the bathroom is kept very clean as well!
