About Smokey Hollow
Originally the Onanole Motel, Smokey Hollow has been an accommodation staple in the Riding Mountain area since the mid 1950's. The property features charming and affordable, year-round, motel-style accommodations along with the hidden gems of the Pavilion Event Space, the Cabin Suite, and a large heated seasonal pool and deck - all surrounded by mature trees and perennial gardens.
Local couples Eric Bjornson and Annik Adam along with Rob Kamminga and Erica Clarke are imparting new energy to the business having recently taken the reins from long-time owners Roy and Lorraine McLaughlin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smokey Hollow is such a special gem just before the entrance of Riding Mountain Park. Our room looked ordinary from the outside, but once inside, it felt like we were staying in a cozy log cabin. We were only planning on staying a night or two but ended up staying four. If we’re ever in the area again, we look forward to staying here again.

Constantly working and checking up on us to see how our stay has been as to make it better in every way possible! Rooms are very comfortable and roomy - very clean! Definitely a place I would recommend as well as stay again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little motel with clean and quite guest rooms. I stayed in their Garden Suite, private area and entrance. Very clean and tidy inside, beautiful view looking out into the back wooded area.
Complimentary coffee and light snacks in the office. Friendly staff and great owners, Erica and Annik are courteous, caring and most of all great hosts!
If you are looking for a great getaway even if it's just for a day or two, you should visit Smokey Hollow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great staff and new management, special thanks for Anik and Erika for taking care of our needs. Rooms are fully renovated, beds and blankets are brand new, fridge, microwaves and kitchenette are squeaky clean! They also have bonfire place where you can make your smores, a pool to cool you off, a jacuzzi to relax and poarche to have your morning breakfast. It's also 2min drive to riding mountain park so it's pretty close to the great parts of wassagaming.
We will definitely go back here for sure! Highly recommended for our friends and families.

Affordable rooms. Outstanding fire pit! Delicious simple snacks and coffee every morning! Local wildlife including red fox at my doorstep every morning lol! An absolute delight to have spent 30 days there in November!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great value little motel. Even though it was -28C outside, we were cozy warm inside.
It was wonderful having a REAL kitchenette with a fridge., microwave, toaster and coffee maker!!
One of the owners, Erica, was so welcoming and offered us some snacks at the office - apples and granola.
There is also a hidden oasis in the back yard where you can have a nice bonfire.
