★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being right next to the Rideau canal, a park, and the old rapids that led to the previous water treatment plant, it's a nice place to park and go for a walk when the weather is nice.

Has free parking right under the water tower.
The visitor centre was closed due to covid, though you can still see the mini falls right across the street.
No public washroom around, even towards the trail to the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iconic water tower situated in the heart of Smiths Falls. Nearby Centennial Park is worth walking through and very picturesque. Farther down the path is a popular swimming area with an inflatable raft that kids like to play on in the summer.
