It’s not a business that sends all candidates to all clients, it is a process that hand selects and connects good people with good people. I was recruited from NYC back to my hometown of YVR for an opportunity that I originally did not want because I simply wasn’t ready to leave New York. They somehow convinced me to make the best decision of my life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I worked at Smart Savvy and Associates for ~3.5 years. To this day, I think of them as one of the best recruitment agencies out there.
Smart Savvy's difference is that the recruiters come from "the industry they recruit for" i.e. they were not recruiters to begin with. So, they truly understand the role, your skills and aim to create the best fit possible.
Even to this day, as I moved onto client-side, I have used them when needing to find fantastic talent for hard-to-fill roles.
Also - the President of the company, Peter Reek, is the best human you will ever meet !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ended up working with a handful of recruiters here over the course of the years but never with a successful placement. Nonetheless, I was happy to give referrals of contacts looking for work.
However, most recently when I was looking for my next opportunity, I reached out to the recruiter I had worked with the most to notify them I would like to be back on their radar for opportunities. I ended up sending them two emails as part of this exchange and it took almost 2 months to get a reply both times (so nearly 4 months in total). There wasn't even an acknowledgement in the lack of a prompt reply. Ultimately by the time I got their last response, I had already accepted a job offer after being placed by a different recruitment agency and I will be looking to continue my working relationship with them going forward.

Well I guess 3rd time was the charm and they finally matched me to a wonderful opportunity and role that I'm now enjoying and truly excited to be in. They both treated the process professionally and respectfully and I was appreciative of how well they kept me informed throughout each opportunity we explored all the way until the last. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a new career path and need that additional guidance or to the prospective business looking for that "just right" candidate.
