★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere. The music is a great mix of 80s, 90s, and early 2000s hits. The service and food were amazing. And the Moretti draught beer was new to me and delicious. My wife and I will definitely be back to try out more on their menu and grab another pint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful birthday lunch in the middle of the work week! Food came out quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara! Had the home made cheesecake with a sparkler in it for dessert to celebrate. Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love it here :) it is by far my favorite restaurant in Toronto. The food is delicious and the drinks are so good. The vibe is great as well, and the staff are so friendly and kind, especially our server Christine (I hope I got her name right). I've been to Slate several times now, and have had a few important celebrations here which have been wonderful experiences.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is SO good!! A few friends and I went before the Christmas break and we were HUNGRY after our theater rehearsal. It was our first time there and we were so surprised when our waitress told us that everything - every bit of food, was made fresh and in house. And it sure did taste like it! That was some of the best pizza, salad, French fries, and chocolate cake I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to go back?!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slate is an amazing restaurant to go to in The Beaches, Toronto ? the staff is wonderful and always makes it a point to remember who you are, be kind to you, and build the kind of relationship with you that makes you excited to go back and catch up with one another again. In my time in Toronto, this quickly grew to be my favourite restaurant here. The food and drinks are AMAZING! They make everything in house and it's always fresh, hot, and super delicious. They never skimp on flavour, the food is always cooked perfectly, and you simply can't find drinks this good anywhere else in a 2km radius. I highly recommend this place to anyone whether it be for a date night or a gathering with friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a regular day take-out, nothing special, hoping that this is gonna be our place to go for pizza.
However, two pizzas and two desserts came up to 80$, and we weren’t happy with the food.
Although, Pizza crust was perfect - thin and crunchy, the sauce and ingredients weren’t so good. Even kids took all pepperonis off cause they didn’t like it.
Desserts, on the other hand, were absolutely delicious (chocolate lava cake and brownie)!
It’s four starts thanks to dessert and remembering that before covid we had a good experience. Hopefully, the restaurant will pay more attention to pizza ingredients in future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely dinner at Slate. Three courses and all of them were delicious. The place was busy but the service was great none the less. The pasta and pizza were well made and the chicken parmigiana had a great flavor with a little kick to it. The desserts were both a great end to the meal. The cheesecake was light and fluffy while the lava cake was deep and delicious.
