I order Thai food for the family on Sunday and was really happy with it. I had not had Thai food in way to long... The Pad Thai & Red Curry were my favorites & I will be back for more. Welcome to Ladner Skyy Thai! ? The truck looks great! ? ???

A friend and myself had an order of Cashew Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai and both were delicious. Very generous portions and leftovers for tomorrow. We will definitely be back.

Overall the taste was good. Pad thai was slightly burnt and the chicken was dry. The basil chicken was very good. I would visit more often if there were other alternatives to chicken dishes.

Wonderful little Thai Food Truck. You'll drive right by it if you take the Ladner exit after the tunnel. The food has been so consistently good. Today the food was fantastic. Really good. Highly recommend...

Unacceptable. Tell me where on your website or on Google does it say you are NOT open and not serving? In fact it says 4-7pm (Dinner only). I called twice and the phone kept ringing, the voicemail did not say anything about closed or about anything else (just automated- β€œyou have reached”). We suspected they are busy cooking and decided to drive over (17min each way). We found the food truck alright- definitely not open/ not running/ tucked away on the property. We are so disappointed in the owners lack of update of their business hours in Google AND the website. Was really hoping to try the food out. I’m just so fed up with people that do this. Zero communication- nothing. How are we suppose to know? Honestly- put yourself in our shoe.

I was excited when I heard about a Thai food truck in Ladner, especially in a place that was home to one of my favourite local meat stores (the J Baird shop closed, sadly). I looked up the menu and saw that you could call your order in, and despite the high prices for Thai food (and food truck food), I decided to give it a go after a long week at work. I tried calling in a couple of times, but received no response, so I decided to drive in and order in person. After parking on the farm lot, I waited in line while the man working the cash took orders, but also took phone calls (so they were answering phones). After ordering their Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and Cashew Chicken ($45), I was told it would be about 30 minutes. This isn’t what I was used to for a food truck, so I went home to drop off the kids before returning to pick up my order. The first thing I noticed when I got home was that the food wasn’t hot (it may have been done early and was sitting on the counter). The next thing I noticed was the small portion size. Because Thai food usually has relatively cheap ingredients, the portions are usually quite large. Not so with this order. The next thing I noticed was that the rice was missing (cashew chicken description indicates that it is β€œaccompanied with rice”. I phoned in again to see if I could pick up my missing rice, but again, received no answer, so I decided to try the food. In addition to smaller portions, they also were very stingy with the protein. Our Cashew Chicken had five cashews and the equivalent of one chicken satay. This was definitely different from the pictures online. Our Chicken pad Thai wasn’t any better. Now, the redeeming quality is that the flavour was good. The Pad Thai was more savoury than sweet and the texture of the noodles was good. The chicken satay was a little dry, but that might be expected for take away. Overall, this was a disappointment. For $45, the food was too expensive, the dishes were skimpy and the service was non-existent. I’m always excited for new food choices in Ladner, but this will not get a return trip. I know that those in Ladner will probably continue to support, but I would recommend going into Richmond or Tsawwassen instead.
