Skyway Diner

This place is the greatest restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. Anyone who criticizes this establishment is an absolute dining casual who has NO idea what they are talking about. For example, Shawn Davidson. You can’t even form a coherent sentence yet you still leave one star. His profile picture is also very inappropriate. Reported. His review is invalid and DOES NOT count in my books. Brendan Hyde is a local Guide yet he leaves 1 star and NO description. Not a single word or review- just left 1 star for no reason. Disappointing that they hand out local guide badges to anybody these days. His review does not count either. Ayden Shields is mad because his nachos were plain. However, he ordered CHICKEN FINGERS. Where did the nachos come from? Seems like he is lying to me. Therefore his review does not count either. Brooks Matthews and his snowflake of a grandson left 1 star because they felt “disrespected”. However, it is their fault for bringing a water bottle inside the restaurant. You DO know that they can give you water for free, right? How about you remind yourself of restaurant policies instead of being such a sensitive softie, Brooks? Next, Joylyn Marie Mallari goes on a rant about how her son wasn’t “accommodated” for. How is that relevant to the restaurant at all, Joylyn? Why blame the poor restaurant staff for all your sad little problems? Vinny Lawrence writes that his meal was the “worst breakfast he had this morning”. Yet, if that was the ONLY breakfast he had, wouldn’t that also make it the best breakfast he had that morning too? Why be such a pessimist, Vinny? Also, who names their kid Vinny? Finally, Ray Smith. Who writes an essay about how dirty the place is. As if the McDonalds you went to was any better. Liar liar pants on fire. Notice how he has nothing bad to say about the food so you whine about the “cleanliness” even though the place is just fine. Ray you are nothing but a sad, little man. To everyone else who rated 5 stars like me, THANK YOU for having a brain to appreciate good food and good service. People like you leave positive reviews to recognize hard work. Unlike these snowflakes who I have mentioned, who use Google Maps as a platform for their negativity and misinformation.

Wonderful diner! I wanted to say thanks for dealing with a skip the dishes kerfuffle. Skip called and asked for my credit info over the phone and I refused. When I called the restaurant personally, it was dealt with professionally and with a smile. So awesome! It's my first time eating from Skyway but a good diners are few and far between so I am very impressed and will eat In once we are allowed. I ordered the eggs Benedict pictured...breakfast for dinner is always great! And this Benny was done perfectly. Eggs nice and soft! A slicer of orange and because of the skip the dishes, they added and extra treat. That's something in these times when every penny counts for these small businesses. I highly recommend and well done Skyway! bravo. Two thumbs up!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My grandson and I went there yesterday for a bite to eat. He came from the gym and just happened to bring in his water bottle. The waitress (I wish I would have gotten her name) told him to walk THAT water bottle back to the car right now. I could not believe the attitude and disdain coming from her lips. In all my 84 years I have never ever seen or heard a waitress talk to a customer like that. We left immediately and went over to Russell Williams, where they treat their patrons with respect.

Always great food & service but as a regular stopped going here. I dont think the management realizes how dirty your fron entry is. The outside, the doorway, the entrance floors are an immediate red flag for me. It makes me wonder how clean your kitchen is! Raise your standards and i may be back.

not kid friendly, asked them politely if my son can continue eating his fries inside as my son is with special needs. He can throw tantrums so bad and be uncontrolable. And would make me so stressed out. But the rude staff insist to either put it in the car when we dont even have car. I hope this restaurant will take considerations of children with special needs. It used to be our go to after his daycare but I got really really disappointed. Will never come back and recommended. Heartbreaking to not let my son eat his food becoz of the protocols they said but putting he has special needs should be considered

March 12, 2022. This was our first time going to this restaurant and we could not have been more disappointed. Upon entry we noticed leaves and debris under and around a sign in table that’s no longer being used. Immediately to our left leading into the dinning room was a filthy runner that looked like it hadn’t been changed in weeks. We were sat at a both by the window and asked if we’d like to start with a coffee, we said yes. During the wait we noticed a dirty rag and spay bottle on an empty table, we looked at each other and said I hope they didn’t wipe our table with that rag. Still waiting on our coffee, the overall lack of basic cleanliness became more and more noticeable and a little disturbing. Still waiting on our starter coffee. We couldn’t understand what was taking so long there was maybe 6 occupied tables in a room that had a 30 or more empty tables bad enough the place was dirty now we couldn’t get served. We were now about ten minutes waiting on our starter coffee when we decided to just leave. We’re glad we did, there’s a McDonald’s right next door, we had breakfast there. McD’s was clean and the food was fine.

Enjoyed a delicious valentine’s dinner at Skyway Diner!! We love coming for breakfast (MUST try) so we thought we’d give dinner time a try. They absolutely did not disappoint! The chicken souvlaki meal was huge, with better flavours than I experience at some greek restaurants. The steak was a very nice cut of meat also! Price is right, the staff are always kind, and the environment is cozy and relaxing. We couldn’t ask for more!

Breakfast diner & service at its finest. All quality ingredients. Eggs poached the way you want, fresh crispy hash browns made with quality potatoes, large fluffy pancakes, fresh coffee that comes in carafe so it’s kept hot and topped when you want. Great options…even had choice of hot sauce (tobasco or franks, servers asked). Was also very pleased with the kids menu and excellent service — felt like we were well taken care of. Will definitely worth the trip to Burlington.
