★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a regular attendant of the North Bay Skatepark, and as serious skater, there needs to be a new park.
The ramps are all rusted and warped, causing skaters to not want to ride them or risk injuries. The ramps that are there, were built by one of the local high-school welding shops, when they still offered a welding course.
The new addition the city added was a mini-pipe that they had promised years before as a substitute until they built a concrete "skate plaza" in the coming years. After what is close to 3-5 years of empty promises later, nothing has happened.
That isn't to say I won't be skating and practicing there anymore, but it sure would be nice if the city took this sport more seriously.
