★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ７月９日チャカムス湖トレッキングを５人で行ってきました。車が入れる最終パーキングからは厳しいアップダウンのルートではないので一般的ですが、なんせ長距離です。熊対策が必要でチャンプ地では食料はワイヤーで空中にぶら下げておく設備があります。
トレック最終ポイントの湖畔は素晴らしい景色です。谷が深いのでブラックタスクの岩峰は見えない。
On July 9th, we went trekking on Lake Chakams with 5 people. It is common because it is not a strict ups and downs route from the last parking where the car enters, but it is a long distance. There is a facility to hang food in the air with a wire in the champ area because it is necessary to take measures against bears.
The lakeside at the final point of Trek is a wonderful view. The valley is so deep that you cannot see the rocky peaks of Black Task.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great campsite for a small group. Not good for more than 1 group. Bathroom and best caches are there. It’s more of a common area rather than separated campsites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing camping spot and such a great trail. Go early and be aware of the drive up, it is a little bumpy. 18km in and out with view of the water 75% of the time. Not much elevation, just a nice lallygag by the water. Excellent trail for a first overnight backpacking adventure. There is bear cache and bathroom along the way. Busy but not too crazy, if you go early you will have time by yourself.
