Sinclair came to us as a recommendation of the seller, who was a very honest man. Sinclair’s tech did a very thorough inspection of the car, complete with pictures and a very good summary based on this inspection. As I live in the Vancouver area, Sinclair were my eyes on the car and a great deal of trust was put into them. They did not disappoint us! Based on the results of the inspection, we decided not to purchase the vehicle as there were several items that would not have allowed the car to pass our rigid B.C. auto inspection. To rectify the situation, it would have cost more money than we were comfortable with. I would utilize Sinclair again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them to anyone needing service for their vehicle, or, like us, to obtain an unbiased pre-purchase inspection - they could save you thousands of dollars! Thank you to the team at Sinclair. They were professional, thorough and their cost was better than reasonable.

The team welded a piece of stainless steel pipe onto the broken exhaust connection and clamped it back to where it needed to be, fixing it for a fraction of the cost the competition quoted. The competition wanted to replace large sections of the exhaust and simply didn't understand the notion of repairing it

They did an excellent job of troubleshooting and repairing. These are the folks to come to for all auto repairs. They told us that it would need to be replaced, and that would cost us $1400, called Rob and he said to us that the part was probably frozen, would need to be cleaned and thawed. He was right. He saved us $1200, Sinclair Auto will always get our business from now on. And I will recommend this company to friends and family.

I asked him to change the transmission fluid in my dodge caliber , which I had a few shops tell me " it needed to be done ". The head mechanic at Sinclair said " I called around , if we change the fluid , your gonna need a new transmission withing 100kms , so we are not gonna do it" Turns out CVT transmission fluid is meant to last for the life of the car and doesn't not need to be changed . MOST SHOPS would have done the work not thinking about what may happen later . If you are looking for an HONEST mechanic who does great work, TAKE IT TO SINCLAIR AUTO .

He said "yeah these old cars, you know it could take me hours to chase down an electrical problem. But I'll buy the car off you for 500$" Instead, I took it to Sinclair and they found it was a missing fuse. Charged me a very fair price. Another time my truck was due for sparkplugs. The mechanic looked at them for me and said they didn't need replacement. He could have easily just done it and charged several hundred for the service. They are honest mechanics who have my business now for everything.
