Rather rustic and homey but the owners were very friendly and helpful and the washroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. We did not experience any significant noise issues, despite what a previous reviewer wrote. Having said that, there is a highway and a railway track nearby and I would not have wanted to be in campsite right beside them. But most of those sites were for seasonal campers anyway. The lower sites on the sand not far from the office and near the river were quite lovely.

C	Christopher MacMillan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot. Pros: Nice little river for swimming with sandy beach. Water and power hookups. Five minutes to Huntsville for supplies. Cons: you can hear the highway and trains at night. But not too bad. Overall a good family spot.
S	Souzan Sali on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found it by fluke and loved it. Went with friends and will definitely be back with family. The owner was great. Very accommodating and a joy to talk to. We really wanted to see her again before we left and get to know the camp a little better and she kindly answered all our questions. We did realize on the second night how close we were to the highway and train but the noise wasn't nearly as loud as some lower raters have described. It didn't bother us. Loved the sandy beaches along the river. It was all picture perfect.
P	Pamela B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at this campground in July and went back again in August for 12 days. They have the friendliest campers and very very clean washrooms and shower. The owners are very nice and will bend over backwards to make sure your camping experience is great. Also the woman who does the cleaning of the restrooms and showers deserves a shout out. She does a fantastic job and always has a smile. Great place and great people.

The staff was very friendly and the location is great, close to a beach and easy drive in to the Main Street of Huntsville if you want to grab dinner out.

Campground in front of a railway and a busy Hwy 11…the gateway to the North! Lots of families. Summer activities for the kids. Don’t drink the water.
