The path to get there leaves much to be desired. I was sure it was a closed or abandoned provincial park, but keep going all the way and at some point you will see signs saying don't cross but right next to it is the Silver Falls trail entrance. We only did 2 miles but the trail went I guess much further but the view was so good we stayed there for 3 hours. Even the forest is beautiful! I recommend it to everyone

Silver Falls offers the very best of Ontario nature. Nestled deep in Thunder Bays forests, prepare to hike the well travelled trail upon semi-rough terrain until it opens up to the rushing river waters. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful spot to spend the day. Somewhat challenging hike in some areas, but well worth the journey when you get to the waterfall. I am very much looking forward to going back, and being in much better shape then I am now for trek number 2. For a guy that has spent the better part of a decade on his couch. There was a great sense of accomplishment I felt afterward.

A really nice hike with forest and rock terrain. The first 1km is on an old gravel road and fairly straight forward. To see the main falls it is about 2km from the parking lot. You don’t need to go much further for great views. There is a steep downhill section that is fun to traverse but hard coming back up. We did 8.2km round trip and was about 2 hours 15 mins. Bring some swim shorts there are spots to swim on a nice hot day.
