★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a popular dog park, and just next to a large beach park for others to enjoy. Dogs love to run on the beach and get to water. If you get to the lake from Silver Birch street, you will have these two places on your left and right. In between these two, there is also a children's playground with slides and swings. I like to enjoy the clear water on lake Ontario. My little one loves to collect rock and throw them on the lake. The regular park with the larger portion of the beach is a lot bigger and has a wooden walkway and some other facilities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great off-leash Pup Park enjoyed by pooches and their owners alike. Plenty of room to walk, run, swim and play while their people congregate for a morning social hour. Busiest time is early to mid-morning, otherwise fairly quiet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful place with friendly dogs and owners. But if you're looking for a quiet spot for your pup to run off leash that doesn't have great recall, this isn't it - it's super busy on the weekends from 10am onwards. And it's not fenced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful off leash dog area on the water. Some dogs on leash walking through, kids, people with bikes... It is also NOT fenced in. This off-leash area is only suitable for well trained dogs with excellent recall. The Kew Beach park 1 km West on the beach is mostly fenced in and better for dogs who don't have these skills or are likely to run off.

It can be tricky finding parking. You would have to park on the residential streets and it gets full pretty quickly.
The beach itself isn’t crowded at all which I love! My two dogs enjoyed it! It is not fenced but my dogs didn’t even bother running off anyways. They always stayed near me. The water is super clean and refreshing! I suggest bringing water shoes if you decide to swim! In the water, it’s rocky instead of sand.
Regardless my dogs and 3 year old son had an amazing time!
We prefer this beach over Cherry Beach if we base it on water quality.

Unlike the stones in Cherry beach, the shore is sand and small gravel which is easier on your dog's legs.
There are public washrooms nearby which are maintained well.
Parking can be tricky. But it not hard as the crowd is less.
