★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my first SAAB, a 1988 9000 Turbo to Silk Cat in 1998. I now have a newer Saab and Greg looks after me and my car very well.
Once I drove over the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge and the car started this banging noise. I drove directly to Silk Cat and it turned out a wheel was loose. No charge.
Great service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The team at Silk Cat are experts in European...mostly British cars. Always helpful and considerate, Greg is knowledgeable and isn't afraid to tackle any sort of nightmare the old classics throw at him. Jaguars, MG, Triumph, RollsRoyce...no problem. They have looked after my TR6, and she is running well. I trust them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don`t normally trust mechanics and I typically do my own mechanical work, but when I had a fire under the hood of my disco 2 that burned many wires, I took it to silk cat. The guys at silk cat were great about answering all my questions. They even found a tonne of cheap used parts to do the repairs with. I've now had the vehicle back for about 3 months and have had no issues to date with the electrical repairs. They even seem to get cheaper OEM parts than other local mechanics as well. Greg and Amir are both very easy to deal with and its obvious why they have been in business as long as they have. I would recommend Silk Cat to anyone with a British vehicle looking for an honest mechanic at a good price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greg's shop is fantastic. They know old cars and the associated hassles (particularly electrical) better than any. I trust their work on newer cars as well. In fact I drive over 30 minutes to drop the car off and pick up.
As for old cars I brought my car into a local mechanic and I practically had to sign a waiver for them to start work on it. Not so with Silk Cat.
Silk Cat is a rarity in today's world. An honest competent business.
I also know the circumstance of the sole negative posting on the Google reviews here. Suffice it to say the poster was asking for receipts that she had not paid for and had nothing to do with. The strange behavior (and perhaps worse from a tax point of view) was on her part and she did not do business with Silk Cat.

Despite being a young guy, I have always been treated with respect in their shop. They have fair prices and can trust that their mechanics will do a great job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have visited this shop a least 4 times regarding my classic car. Greg, the owner, I have found to be rude and impatient on most occasions. While in the waiting room, I have witnessed him treat other customers the same way. His moods are unstable. I have always felt rushed when communicating with him, hence why some of the work and pricing was not as expected. I have found that his rates are the most expensive in North Vancouver. There are other North Vancouver shops that are reasonably priced, friendlier, and capable of quality work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner of a '85 XJ6 and have been taking her into Silk Cat for over a year now. Greg and his team do an upstanding job at taking care of their customers and their vehicles. Very knowledgeable and they do honest work. The previous owner of my XJ6 told me the starter needed to be swapped ASAP. When I brought it in and mentioned it, they checked it out and said don't worry about it - its just fine!
Can't recommend Silk Cat enough. Great people and excellent service.
