They are constantly changing their phone IVR menus, each time getting worse. I'm not sure they have anyone to actually answer the phone, since any option you pick results in a message saying you called on the wrong day, or go to our website. I build these systems for a living, they clearly hired an expert in torture to design this clinic's phone menu.

They need to really improve there communication with patients and follow up as they require FOUR weeks notice to renew a non-opioid general prescription yet a follow-up call to appointment is needed to remind them to do it or it takes them 2 weeks to do it.

I called this clinic to book a walk in appointment and the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. I am sure this doesn’t apply to all receptionists who work there. But I had a very bad experience after calling right at 9:00 am and holding the line for a while to connect.

As a long term patient at shoreline, the quality of service has greatly went down ever since they introduced calling cue’s it’s been 3 week in a row and not one day I was able to book a walk in at 9am even though I called exactly at 9am. The service needs to change or the business will fall

How the heck are you supposed to get through to this place?? They don't answer their phones except for very specific call " cueing". My family has been on their wait list here for a doctor for about 2 years! We've heard nothing! We have some very serious health issues including a child with a pacemaker, lupus, psoriasis etc. Can't even go to a specialist without a referral from a non existent GP. This place is like fort Knox! Windows blacked out, phones not answered. THIS IS NOT HEALTHCARE!

Virtually impossible to schedule a walk-in appointment. Those who have a family doctor can schedule online; for those who don't have a family doctor, to add insult to injury, you are supposed to call to schedule an appointment. Ostensibly they answer the phones 4 hours a day, but in my experience, unless you make it your life's mission, you are not going to get an appointment as you will never be able to get a human on the phone to schedule your walk-in appointment. I have tried many times right at 9am when the phones open including having their telephone number entirely typed into my phone and watching a digital clock including the seconds connected to a cell tower to make sure the time is accurate and hitting call at exactly 9:00:00am to no avail. I've done this many times with no success. Obviously, rationally, you would give up and try elsewhere. The problem is the officially recommended process for the 25% of people in the CRD who don't have a family doctor is to get on the waiting list for a doctor, get attached to a specific walk-in clinic and use that clinic exclusively until you are attached to a doctor. All available evidence would suggest that Adrian Dix and John Horgan and the current NDP government don't really care about this issue or if they do, as they say they do, they don't see it as sufficiently urgent to do anything really meaningful to fix. Horgan loves to just complain it is the federal government's fault for their paltry health care transfer payments. That is not leadership. It is his job to get them to transfer more as well to fix all the other problems that are contributing to the doctor shortage that have nothing to do with the federal health care transfer payments.

I started calling the walk in clinic and make appointment at exact 9am when the time they claimed to START to take phone calls, but the voice machine kept saying it is already full. How come? It is impossible to be full when it is exactly at 9am. And it won't take any messages, It is a terrible place.

While wait times on the phone can be a bit long sometimes, I have always gotten through to staff. The nurses and reception staff are absolutely lovely. I have seen at least 8 doctors through this clinic and the walk-in it provides. Other than one, who was mentioned in other comments for being an insensitive jerk, every doctor I've had has been kind, openly communicated with me, and genuinely worked with me to solve my problems, or referred me to see someone who would better be able to help. Very thankful I have a family doctor here, it's one of the best clinics I've been to, if not the best. I've visited at least 8 other walk-ins in Victoria and the Peninsula, none of them even come close.
