I was expecting to try some back and muscle pain pill, and believe it or not.... the box was empty(so no pills, just an empty box). I thought either the box was just well packed because I didn't hear the pills shake inside, but there was nothing.

The worst! I call the pharmacy on various different occasions requesting what I need, sometimes when I call again they say I didn't ask for anything, that whoever took my call didn't to anything, they give the biggest attitude not letting you speak, and yesterday they manage to do worst. I swear I'll start recording and next time I'll file an official complaint with the OCP. I am not kidding.

Very disappointing service from the pharmacy staff! They constantly get orders wrong to the point of giving you other customers orders. Recently my family member had an experience where the wrong document was given to them with another customers medication information, full name, address, etc....isn't this a confidentiality concern? The information provided to you is also very inconsistent amongst the staff and some of the staff is very rude.

Odd experience; felt unwelcome and rushed. First off, I'm a paying customer: Always have been, and hopefully always will be (knock on wood). The staff and security here need to be less classist, and work on their patience and tolerance of people with anxiety disorders. I get that they have a lot of characters coming in there and causing problems - and evidently I resembled one of those people, as my treatment by the security/staff would suggest. But learn to give each individual the benefit of the doubt until they prove you otherwise (especially customers who've never given you problems before). This is common compassion. Also, the older lady cashier seems to have a chip on her shoulder and I would urge her to seek therapy through the Shoppers HR dept. Does Shoppers offer therapy through their HR dept? If they don't, they should. Galen Weston needs to send some undercover bosses to some of these franchises for some intel and staff retraining, especially if he claims to be a mental health advocate. All of that said, the inventory isn't too bad tbh. Found what I was looking for, more or less.

Beauty Manager here is absolutely useless. She sent my mother away on Seniors Day when she was trying to exchange a Dior concealer purchased for me. She unfortunately had bought the wrong colour and was trying to change the colour. The excuses given here by this person I've heard all too often as a Shoppers employee. You see, when you return something it counts against the store/dept daily totals so you are often told to return to the original store. They turned her away and that is typical of what kind of service you can expect at this location and also Shoppers.

Update Dec 17: Despite the owner's assurance below that they "reviewing" my concerns, the pharmacy hung up on me while I was on hold yet again this morning. Changed review to one star. When this SDM pharmacy isn't busy, it's fine. However, when they are busy it's a disaster. There's not enough staff overall, certainly not on the weekends. There's almost no signage telling you where to stand or what to do if you're there for a flu shot/COVID vax/prescription drop-off, so you stand around in large groups looking at one another to see if there's a line or a form to fill out or... Just a mess (which is concerning given we're now 21 months into the pandemic). Worst of all though: their phone "system". Nobody is picking up when you call, and someone in the store is deliberately disconnecting people who have been on hold for more than about 5 minutes. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. To the pharmacy staff: if you don't have capacity for the calls, TELL PEOPLE TO CALL BACK. Don't just hang up on them and leave them desperate to understand what's happening.

The absolute rudest pharmacy I have ever communicated with. I asked a simple question and answered it and before I could ask a follow up they just hung up on. I called back so I could ask my follow up as I was booking an appointment for someone else, she said β€œ he could speak for himself” and again hung up. There is obviously a reason I’m trying to make an appointment on someone else behalf and I understand if your busy but to hang up and be rude for asking a question is not appropriate espically if part of your job is asking you pharmacy about health and medication as it says on your voice recording.

We went in to look for eye cream, usually when in other shoppers drug marts we walk around and figure stuff out on our own. Naomi came up and asked if we needed help .. and she was beyond amazing ! So informative about the creams and makeup , she ensured we had the right products and within our budget, I’ve never had customer service like this at a shoppers drug mart ever! Thank you Naomi for going above and beyond to help us and being incredibly knowledgeable!!
