B	B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am unsure what has changed with the company since the last reviewers left 5/5 star ratings, but this summer was upsetting having the movers take our belongings from one home to another. There were several areas of damage to our brand new hardwood flooring in our new home, ripped king sized mattress (that I witnessed), damage to our buffet cupboard, and stairwell pillars. The owner was present and moving furniture both days. They moved with little to no finesse, appearing to have not had any training or consideration for carpeting or belongings, and on five occasions drove away from the house with the household doors left open and air conditioning leaking out during a heat wave. I was packing in another room and would find this out incidentally (they wouldn’t warn me or ask me to follow and close the door after them). My spouse told the owner about the areas of damage but the owner did not have insurance or means to make amends, he could not even afford to pay his workers for the moving dates without us providing cash. The owner asked my spouse three times if payment could be made in cash instead of cheque or credit card. The owner also declined our invitation to view our home contents before the move date, which we recommended doing in order to book enough workers. Sure enough, moving day was under staffed with only the owner and a worker who smelled very strongly of alcohol. The worker vomited and had to leave in the first hour. The owner left for several hours to recruit more workers. This lack of planning resulted in the move not being completed in one day as agreed to.
R	Renee Anderson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We needed a hospital bed moved for my father who is ill. They called me just before 9am and by 9:30am, the bed was in my dad's home. When they arrived, they asked if they should wear masks and sanitize, which they did for my dad's safety. They made sure not to damage anything and also helped us move some furniture to make room for the hospital bed. The price they charged was very reasonable, much leads than I thought it would be. Would certainly use again and recommend to others.

I spoke with Nick and made arrangements for them to come and move our furniture into storage. They showed up on the wrong day and then didn't show up on moving day. That left my husband and I to do the work (and we are not young people). But being level headed, we texted, called and left and facebook message wondering what happened. I have tried to call and get their side prior to writing a negative post; but they have chosen to ghost us instead. So I really recommend a different company.

Nick had a wonderful combination of professionalism and friendliness. Both movers who unloaded my furniture showed amazing respect for all my stuff as well as the walls and property they were moving it into. They sometimes ran a bit late, but made sure that everything got done. I cannot comment on their prices, since a third party covered the costs of my move. However based on their service and care, they are worth it.

These gentleman were moving into a building very loudly carrying their voices and this lady opened the door asking if they could keep it down a little because she was working nights and these two a**holes started swearing at her saying she doesn’t pay their wages! After witnessing that I would NEVER recommend this moving company to anyone in Medicine Hat or surrounding area.

They have moved me first in Dec'21 then again today I needed some furniture picked up and brought to me from two different locations. Both times these guys were right on time, fast, professional and extremely caring and they have gone the extra mile when I asked for an additional favor. Plus his pricing is more than fair. You simply can't find better movers than Shnicks Moving!
